About Me

What up. I'm a research scientist / rock musician living in Reno NV. I work with stem cell engraftment in the heart. I'm in a local band called Delusions of Grandeur, aka D.O.G. We just had a great show with Powerman 5000; we've also played with Three Days Grace, Static X, and Papa Roach. I'm into finding the equilibrium between conveniance and responsibility through music and science.

Music:

I saw Nine Inch Nails last week and I was blown away -- check out their upcoming tour if you get a chance. I am a Tool freak, also dig A Perfect Circle, Rage Against the Machine is awesome (Audioslave is decent), Pearl Jam, many, many others. I attended the New Orleans Jazzfest last year, some incredible performances I will never forget. Check out www.renoscene.com for more info on local bands who rock.

Movies:

I will see Sin City this Friday, hopefully it will meet with my expectations. I'm a fan of Quentin T., Michael Mann, Steve Soderberg, Ridley Scott, Oliver Stone, amongst many others.

Television:

Arrested Development is f'ing hilarious. Always loved the Simpsons. I've become an HBO addict -- Deadwood, Carnivale, Sopranos, 6 Feet Under -- all are great shows. I hate laugh tracks, but I find myself addicted to That 70's Show reruns.

Books:

I've been reading a lot of Martin Cruz Smith lately. He can capture an era and a culture like no other.
