BIOGRAPHY
Kehlan is currently captain of the USS Endeavour, a Nebula
class starship. Orphaned at the age of three when her human mother was murdered, she grew up in house Gensa, the Klingon state orphanage. Her Klingon father's identity is a secret although she does now know who he is.
She studied science and after graduation won a scholarhip to study on Earth for a year, followed by a year on Vulcan. She distinguished herself and represented Qo'noS at several major science conferences. She joined the Defence Force as a science officer and served on the UKS Hegh'Ta. During the Dominion war, Hegh'Ta teamed up with the Endeavour and Kehlan was seconded to the Federation ship as First Officer. She married the captain, James Mackenzie and her posting was made permanent. When Captain Mackenzie was promoted to the admiralty Kehlan was offered command of the Endeavour, which she accepted. Endeavour now serves as part of a joint Federation/Klingon fleet.
She recently learned that she had a sister, a twin, who grew up on Earth. This came as a shock as she never even knew her mother's identity.
Kehlan is 5 ft 6 inches tall and of average build with dark brown hair. she is in her early thirties. Despite being a half breed she is fully comfortable with her heritage although having grown up as a Klingon she does not completely understand humans. Science is her first love but she has risen to the challenge of command.
Like any Klingon warrior she is competent with the batleth although she prefers the mekleth and D'k'tahg.
She enjoys dancing and cooking - surprisingly she also enjoys vegetarian food, claiming that at least vegetables are meant to be cooked. It's hard to get decent gagh on the Endeavour.
