WHITE BUFFALO CALF WOMAN
says it is time to weave yourself into the sacred dance of life, by awakening to and living with gratitude. When you live with gratitude, you are no longer alone because everything is acknowledged as your relation, thus you are part of the web of creation. Also by being truly appreciative of what you have in your life, you nourish an attitude of gratitude which enables you to truly enjoy what you have
"The song that I will sing is an old song, so old that none knows who made it. It has been handed down through generations and was taught to me when I was but a little lad. It is now my own song. It belongs to me. This is a holy song medicine-song, and great is its power. The song tells how, as I sing, I go through the air to a holy place where Yusun The Supreme Being will give me power to do wonderful things. I am surrounded by little clouds, and as I go through the air I change, becoming spirit only.Geronimo's changed form is symbolized by a circle, and this is surrounded by a mystic aureole. The holy place is symbolized by the sun, which is decorated with a horned head-dress emblematic of divine power. This is the insignia of the Holy Man.MEDICINE-SONGSung by GeronimoO, ha le

She dances with passion and grace
As the sunlight glistens on her face
Oblivious to all around her
She dances to the heartbeat of the Drum
She dances for those who have gone before
And for those yet to comeShe dances as the singers sing an ancient tune
She dances to honor Mother Earth
Brother Sun and Sister Moon
She dances for all creation both large and small
But it is for her children
She dances most of allShe dances so that they might know
So that they might see and learn
So on she dances on nimble feet
Growing stronger with each turnAround and around the Circle she dances
Her red shawl swirling in the wind
The dance of the Warrior Woman
Just like the Circle
Has no beginning and no end
Raven came every day he would circle then come to rest and talk awhile..i was not to understand this until later..on this day he spoke and said if i return again this night and circle you and do not speak you will walk back up the mountain tomorrow..my journey here would be done....as the day went on i prepared for my night here gathering wood..the spirits have been good to me.. they have shown me many things..wisdom i will carry with in me for all times to come.. wisdom i will share along life's journey...
as the sun was setting in the place of rest i heard the flapping of very large wings..i looked up to see a huge Raven circling over me he circled several times then left..he did not speak..i was to leave the valley tomorrow and walk back up the mountain..as i thought on this the star people started coming to share with me this last night.. gathering lots and lots of wood for the fire..i would make a fire to honor all who had shared this time with me.. it would be a great fire..reaching to the skies above..it would turn night into day and we would all dance and sing..all would gather with me in the fire circle.. as i watched the flames reaching high..dancing all around me..i danced with them..i could feel there great arms holding me..then the air around me grew dark and the sky people exploded in the sky now they danced.. so close i could touch them..shooting every where what beauty to behold.. they had come to honor this my last night with them.. what a great gift..brilliant lights every where..we all danced and sang together..saying farewell..until we meet again..and i knew we would a time would come that i would come back to this valley to spend times with them..sacred times of learning and teaching..the hours flew by as we celebrated.. then i heard my chunupa come gather me up i want to dance and sing..as he wrapped his great hide around me and filled my body with warmth i laid his great horn gently upon mother earth and gave him life..the smoke circled around us..i felt humbled and so honored to of been able to spend this time with creator the ancients all spirits..i felt great joy and peace with in myself..i thought of tomorrow and how good it would be to hold my family again..i had missed them..i would leave no one behind as i made my way back up the mountain tomorrow..when i left this valley they also would leave with me.. there would be no lone people here to shed tears.it was a good night filled with the past and present..yes..a good night to end this journey..to begin another..
to sacrifice ones own self for the others is whats to be..to become whole one must sacrifice..to heal other's one must sacrifice..i understood the true meaning of this word..Red Tree Woman

Aho!
Hey-a-a-hey! Hey-a-a-hey! Hey-a-a-hey! Hey-a-a-hey!
Grandfather, Great Spirit, once more behold me on earth
and lean to hear my feeble voice
You lived first and you are older than all need older than all prayer
All things belong to you the two-leggeds
the four-leggeds the wings of the air
and all green things that live
You have set the powers of the four quarters
to cross each other
The good road and road of difficulties
you have made to cross
and where they cross the place is holy
Day in and day out forever you are the life of things Therefore I am
sending a voice Great Spirit
my Grandfather forgetting nothing you have made
the stars of the universe
and the grasses of the earth You have said to me
when I was still young and could hope
that in difficulty I should send a voice four times
once for each quarter of the earth
and you would hear me To-day I send a voice for a people in despair You have
given me a sacred pipe
and through this I should make my offering
You see it now From the west you have given me the cup
of living water and the sacred bow
the power to make live and to destroy
You have given me a sacred wind and the herb
from where the white giant lives
the cleansing power and the healing
The daybreak star and the pipe
you have given from the east
and from the south the nation's sacred hoop
and the tree that was to bloom
To the center of the world you have taken me
and showed the goodness and the beauty
and the strangeness of the greening earth the only mother
and there the spirit shapes of things
as they should be
you have shown to me and I have seen
At the center of this sacred hoop you have said
that I should make the tree to bloom With tears running
O Great Spirit
Great Spirit, my Grandfather
with running tears I must say now that
the tree has never bloomed
A pitiful old woman you see me here
and I have fallen away and have done nothing
Here at the center of the world
where you took me when I was young and taught me
here, old I stand and the tree is withered
Grandfather my Grandfather!Again and maybe the last time
on this earth I recall the great vision you sent me
It may be that some little root of the sacred tree still lives Nourish it then that it may leaf and bloom
and fill with singing birds
Hear me not for myself but for my people I am old
Hear me that they may once more go back into the sacred
hoop and find the good red road the shielding tree!In sorrow I am sending a feeble voice
O Six Powers of the World
Hear me in my sorrow for I may never call again
O make my people live
face to face eye to eye
not but inches apart
we stood and looked into each other's souls
mine will never be the same
forever with in my soul
is where i will always find you

Our lives are bound to Him

If He dies,we die
He is our life and our living shield
I see through the eyes of the Old Ones Can't free them from my mind I'm powerless to help them My thoughts are lost in time My tears wet the ground where their blood once flowed And my prayers fill the air where I still hear their cries But their love is embedded in my soul through me their dreams will stay alive So come, touch the earth where the Old Ones walked Be proud of your family name It was for you they cried for you they fought
Don't let them die in vain
YOU CAME TO OUR HOMES OUR HANDS AND HEARTS WERE REACHING OUT TO YOU IN FRIENDSHIP WHAT DID YOU GIVE BACK IN RETURN DEATH LIES HEARTACHE BEYOND ALL PAIN

Who Will Sing My Name
When I see the Eagle no more Will you call my name When the end of my Path is reached Will you sing my name in Prayer The Old Ones fade and are no more And no one calls thier names Our People vanish and come to ashes And no one sings the Prayers We were once strong and many I call the names of those before Those who remain have no knowing For them I sing my Prayer But when I am gone, who follows me Who will call my name When I have given up my breath
Who will sing my name in Prayer

The Trust of The Indian
Oh this heart that aches so much, wounded by betrayals and mistrust, Why does this happen over and over again? Why do I have the heart and trust of an Indian? Am I a fool? Why do I never learn? I believed in your open hand and opened my heart, only to find, that you were never what I thought. But this trust is like a burden to me, yet,I know, it is the Indian in me. It is the same trust that met you on the shore, that showed you how to live and survive in a land not your own. The same trust that showed you how to plant and hunt, the same trust that said, the land is our life but we are its caretakers and we share what we have. The same trust of an innocent child; that trust broken by the evil of a man, who scarred an innocent and trusting heart, who caused great suffering for many years, yet the Indian in me, continues to feed into the trust in all things and life. I lay bare and vulnerable,my heart open, my hand outstretched, and with each betrayal I make a request. Please help me not to trust. I can't take the pain, the hurt to my heart, please help me Grandfather, to see more clearly, so I will not trust and feel this great disharmony, within my spirit, my heart and my soul, and can protect myself from those who are not true, but who continue to betray the trust, given to me, by you.I am Indian. This is my life. My blood may not be as pure as some like, but I am Indian and have inherited the trust, the same open hearts of those on that shore, that held out their hands to strangers to this land, and found instead, they had a deadly plan.Greed and ego and politics were their plan, to destroy the people of this land.Like that Indian that stood on that shore; I have faced destruction many times before.I have cried out to you for comfort and help. I have cried out to you to help me forget, the trust that is part of who I am - that trust that is part of being an Indian

Mist swirls about the surface of a crystal clear lake, while calls can
be heard off in the distance. Calls from lost souls that have become
trapped within a region that they not know of. And the sound of a
rider is mixed among those calls. And slowly the Fog reveals the Rider
a woman yet strong and Noble she sits upon her steed of Midnight Black. Sent as
Guardians to ride throughout the Night dreams of many. In the defense
of those of pure heart and soul. A power had been granted to this rider
power to do battle against those that would cause ill thoughts and
dreams. Those lost have been put behind a shield of hopeThis shield is unbreakable made from Pure magic. Magic that was sent
by a Heart that only has the welfare of others in mind. Strength
unimaginable as she watches all that lay in their dream state and keeps
all within her protective grasp. Forever keeping the evils of the night
within arms reach. Like a dream catcher, she allows only pleasant thoughts
and dreams to be sent to you. For the bad or evil dreams are sent
to the medicine bag at her side to be kept until the end of time
So, while in your slumber wait and listen for this rider in the night
for behind her shield is your dreams

The Reservation's Ten Commandments
(As Given By The United States of America)1. You shall have no other forms of government before me.
2. You shall not make for yourself an independent and
self-sufficient government, for I am a jealous bureaucracy and
will punish the Indian children for the sins of their fathers to
the seventh generation of those who hate me.
3. You shall not misuse my name or my symbols, for I will impale you
on my flagpole.
4. Remember the first of each month by keeping it holy. The rest of
the month you shall go hungry, but the first day of each month is
a tribute to me, and you shall receive welfare checks and
commodity food in exchange for your continued dependence.
5. Honor your Indian father and Indian mother because I have
stripped them of their land, language, and hearts, and they need
your compassion, which is a commodity I do not supply.
6. You shall not murder, but I will bring FBI and CIA agents to your
reservations and into your homes, and the most intelligent,
vocal, and angriest members of your tribes will vanish quietly.
7. You shall not commit adultery, but I will impregnate your women
with illegitimate dreams.
8. You shall not steal back what I have already stolen from you.
9. You shall not give false testimony against any white men, but
they will tell lies about you, and I will believe them and
convict you.
10. You shall not covet the white man's house. You shall not covet
the white man's wife, or his hopes and opportunities, his cars
or VCRs, or anything that belongs to the white man

Will you teach your children what we have taught our children? That the earth

"This we know: the earth does not belong to man, man belongs to the earth.
All things are connected like the blood that unites us all. Man did not weave
the web of life, he is merely a strand in it. Whatever he does to the web, he
does to himself. "One thing we know our Creator is also your Creator The earth is
