About Me

Photo by Alex Collados-Nunez"Ear-splitting howls (in the best sense of the phrase) over angular, arty riffs Comic Book Fever could be everywhere by this time next year." Matthew Pollesel - iheartmusic.net
"the Fever does what so few indie/newwave/punk bands manage: Sound different. And eerily catchy." Jen Gerson - Toronto Star
As high octane as an exploding vampire, with the sugary sweet sensibilities of the forgotten era of pop, COMIC BOOK FEVER is a dashing collective of musicians, brandishing melodies reminiscent of the toe-tappingly delightful Buddy Holly and Tommy James, COMIC BOOK FEVER draws influence from sources as varied as the Talking Heads and The Velvet Underground to 80's new wave and classic punk. Currently residing in various parts of Toronto. Handsome. Daring. And pretty damn good. COMIC BOOK FEVER walks among us.
Zion Lee and Jake Fox, have formed the songwriting duo we call COMIC BOOK FEVER and perform in equal parts, leading songs on fuzz saturated guitar and bass while Jahmal Tonge pounds out beats both robotic and tribal.
Their current demo containing three of their earliest songs anticipates COMIC BOOK FEVERs current song line up to be recorded independently in the summer of 2006. Influenced by legends Roxy Music, Devo, the Sex Pistols and more recently bands such as The Rentals, COMIC BOOK FEVERs set remains an original and aggressive musical force in Toronto.

Get a load of this guy.

This broad must be whacked in the head.  She couldn't even get the band name right, which is interesting since I've formed the habit of repeating it over and over again. COMICBOOKFEVER, COMICBOOK...
