About Me

I'm more used to playing with an 'electric instrument' with reggae/rock 3-piece - ROADs. But like I said to my brother the other day "I seem to have cheese on toast or beans on toast every day. I think I need to mix it up a bit".
So when I'm off-duty I play on an old Gibson acoustic. I'm slowly getting more recorded, but you can't rush these things..
Freeflow was from the first recording I made. I'd never performed solo at the time so it has a kind of bedroom quality about it. Although it was recorded in a studio.

Still Think Of You was recorded in a bedroom, with mattresses in the corners and a duvet stuffed into the shower cubicle.. Actually sounds less bedroomy though! Big thanks to Josh Geffin and Ol Keen for engineering, mixing and in Josh's case playing as well.
There's an interesting (or not, perhaps it's not interesting) bit in my blog about that session. If you're into that sort of thing. Waffle.
It's not really worth going into the whole influences, sounds like thing too much cos if you made it this far without knowing what it sounds like you may as well just listen.
As I said, more songs coming soon. In the meantime, check out the pics page. Nice work I thought. Let me know what you reckon.

Sounds Like: An old guitar, played with young fingers. A young voice, older than I once was; younger than I'll be, that's not unusual. Songs about how I feel. Or used to feel. Sometimes songs about how my friends feel. Or used to. The world keeps turning.

You may have noticed I've got loads of pics of paintings up on the pics bit. It just sort of happened when I didn't have any artwork to put up next to my tunes. I started looking around on Google...

Still Think Of You

Ah,.. it's a sad sad song. Sometimes you just have to wallow in the moment for a short while. Unfortunately if you wallow and then write a song about it, people will keep saying "play that song",...

Freeflow

I've managed to find an MP3 of this track to put up. It's from a recording I did with Ollie Keen back in May I think. First solo recording I've done, and it was made before I'd done any proper solo gi...
