About Me

Background By Pimp Your MyspaceProfile Edited by MPS MySpace Editor 2.0 I LOVE life, having fun, enjoying the good times, appreciating the valuable lessons of the hard times.... And this is by no means meant to be a corny statement! My best times consist of hanging out with mad, fun-loving, like-minded people (Birds of a feather, and all that!), getting to know new friends, trying out new things, be it horse-riding or voice-training so I can be the latest pop sensation (NOT!). I am also very happy spending alone-time with myself! Gotta be balanced! Professionally, I am currently employed as a Speech and Drama teacher, but I am one of those who prefer to be the Jonty Rhodes of cricket.... I want to do it all! And so, I also write, direct, produce, as well as act.

My Interests

Drama, drama, drama... Reading, cooking, socialising, BODY-FOR-LIFE!, theatre, movies, coffee-shops, bookshops, trying out new restaurants, dancing, occasional shopping. I prefer spending time with friends to shopping for clothes! But I DO LOVE SHOES!

I'd like to meet:

Like-minded people with a zany zest for life, people who have something valuable to say, something worthwhile to impart to the rest of this world, people who.... "Hey look! Is it a bird? A plane? NO! ITS SUPERMAN!"

Music:

Black-Eyed-Peas, Maroon Five, Old School, Freshly Ground, Middle-Eastern music, Beyonce, Mariah Carey, Madonna, Whitney Houston, Bollywood disco tunes! (almost everything but Heavy Metal).

Movies:

Forest Gump, Armageddon, Amelie, Confetti, Spiderman, Superman, The Incredibles, Pirates of the Caribbean, Harry Potter movies, James Bond!, Little Miss Sunshine, (rather broad taste!)

Television:

I hate to admit it... but quite a few 'reality' shows: The Amazing Race, Survivor, The Apprentice, then those yummy series like Desperate Housewives, Smallville, Charmed, etc

Books:

Marine Adventure (Clive Cussler - the "Dirk Pitt" files), Espionage (Colin Forbes), Medical Thrillers, Forensic CSI-type novels (Patricia Cornwell), Satire (Ben Elton) and then some really good Chick Lit (anything by Jill Mansell, Maeve Binchy) just to balance things out, and local author, Rayda Jacobs - her books are fabulous, inspiring and relevant...

Heroes:

People are HUMAN, and thus fallible... One true Hero would be and is the Lord of my Life, Jesus Christ.
