The Scene:
Pompey has a rich scene for alternative music - whatever you're into, there'll be something for you. Pompey has shitloads of alternative pubs, alternative club nights at least 3 times a week and is host to some great venues for live music.
Portsmouth Rock Soc is here to introduce students at the University of Portsmouth to this scene and to introduce like minded people.

The Events:
Apart from our normal hangouts (Route on a Monday, Subversion Friday, plus many pubs) the Rock Soc likes to put on one-off events - this year we've had a pirate boat party on the Solent, 80s night in the historic dockyards, ball at Spinnaker Tower and medieval metal night at Southsea castle. We regularly run pub crawls and pub-based members meetings.Don't miss Freshers Fortnight!

The Members:
Our members are really diverse - metallers, grungers, emos and indie kids and more. We have a big crossover with Juggle Pompey and the Metal, Industrial and Gothic Society too.
