I completely relate to this poem:Phenomenal WomanPretty women wonder where my secret lies.
I'm not cute or built to suit a fashion model's size
But when I start to tell them,They think I'm telling lies.
I say,
It's in the reach of my arms
The span of my hips,
The stride of my step,
The curl of my lips.
I'm a woman
Phenomenally.
Phenomenal woman,
That's me.I walk into a room
Just as cool as you please,
And to a man,
The fellows stand or
Fall down on their knees.
Then they swarm around me,
A hive of honey bees.
I say,
It's the fire in my eyes,
And the flash of my teeth,
The swing in my waist,
And the joy in my feet.
I'm a woman
Phenomenally.
Phenomenal woman,
That's me.Men themselves have wondered
What they see in me.
They try so much
But they can't touch
My inner mystery.
When I try to show them
They say they still can't see.
I say,

I am a licensed hairstylist/cosmetologist since 1989. I have worked in many salons over the years and learned from the best and the worst. I enjoy doing hair on my terms in my time since I have three children, I need to be available for primarily. I have to add that I love doing hair and I am great at it. I find it very gratifying to see my clients perk up with confidence after I do their hair.
I am also a poetry writer. You will find some of my poetry on my blog. Myspace has been an excellent avenue for me to expand and improve my poetry writing skills. Making new friends with fellow poets has been a great experience! It allows me to express my creativity on a whole other level, while interacting with other poets and learning from them. I find that writing poetry is very therepuetic for my mind, heart and soul. Life is a never ending journey of knowledge. No one ever really arrives to the height of what we can learn in life. If I can learn something new and positive that will benefit my life and the lives of my loved ones I want to learn it. I also like to share what I know, (once I gain that knowledge) with others who want to hear it, not because I think I am smarter, or more insightful than others, but because I enjoy helping others to grow with me (that is, if they are willing to learn), and I want to grow with them if they can help me attain knowledge.
