music, acting, the mystery of life and love, smiley faces, humans, history, art in all forms, and video games. some great game series that i have become attached to over the years are Metal Gear Solid, Castlevania, Legend of Zelda, and Resident Evil. i'm hella going to be getting a Nintendo Wii. motherfucker!!

music is a big part of my life and always has been. in fact i've even thought about pursuing a career in music. i enjoy a lot of different types of music but rap and country are, unfortunately, not one of them. i have many favorite artists and would take a long time to write and i doubt anyone will read all of them. so i'll just say that if you name off a band, i have probably either heard of them or are already a fan. however, some artists/bands that i'm HUGE fans of and find many influences and inspirations in are H.I.M. (possibly the greatest rock band i've EVER heard), Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds (Nick is perhaps the greatest songwriter i've ever encountered), Metallica (the perfect metal band), Nine Inch Nails (a band that NEEDS to be heard by everyone), Ween (a crazy and great band that can play any style), Cradle of Filth (the perfect black metal band..?), Johnny Cash (the only country artist that i enjoy), Black Sabbath (the originators of metal), The Doors (classic in every sense of the word), The Rolling Stones (for "Paint it Black" alone, however they have MANY other great songs), KoRn (they've lost a bit of their luster recently, but they're still damn good), "Weird Al" Yankovic (very underrated), The Misfits (great punk band when Glenn Danzig was there), Marilyn Manson (he gets in your head... which was a great artist should do) and i have to say that Slipknot is a pretty good band however they are EXTREMELY overrated! there i said it. oh, and if ANY ONE can tell me who Mike Oldfield is, i will be very impressed and will hold you in high esteem.
i enjoy all types of movies. as long as they can tell a pretty good story i can even get past any bad acting (for example: some of the older Bond films, the Matrix and Star Wars trilogy, etc.) Jim Carrey, Johnny Depp and Sean Bean are three of my all-time favorite actors. all three are brilliant in practically every film they've done and they've inspired my own acting.
i don't really care for much of what's on the tube other than cartoons such as Family Guy, The Critic, Robot Chicken, Happy Tree Friends & Friends, Invader Zim, Aqua Teen Hunger Force, Perfect Hair Forever, 12 .oz Mouse, Rocko's Modern Life, Ren and Stimpy, The Simpsons, Spongebob Squarepants (every once in a great while) and Fairly Oddparents (same as Spongebob). i also enjoy the WWE, X-Play, Attack of the Show!, Wonder Showzen, Jackass, Viva La Bam, Stankervision (or The Damn Show) and Headbanger's Ball. i don't care for anime too much although i have become increasingly attached to Cowboy Bebop for some odd reason.
i'll read just about anything as long as the story catches my interest and the pace moves along steadily. i really enjoy comics as well. i enjoy classics such as Spiderman and Superman but i mostly read the bizarre comics like Johnny the Homicial Manic, Squee and Fillerbunny (all done by the brilliant Jhonen Vasquez), Lenore by Roman Dirge and Bear by Jaime Smart
