if there is anything i care about it would be animal welfare. pet overpopulation, factory farming, fur farming, bear bile farming, animal abuse and vivisection are just some of the issues that i would like to see put an end to. what i have read, seen or heard on these topics is enough to depress me to tears.
although there is so much wrong with the present treatment in animals on so many different levels, at least some of these inhumane practices are finally being watched, filmed, monitored and reported to the public. although the change is very slow, it is moving in a positive direction in favor of the animals.Be kind to all animals.

Stray Cats and Dogs of the World
It doesn't matter how rich or poor, big or small -- every city, town and village has stray, homeless, abandoned, lost, neglected, starving, injured, and sick cats and dogs who are somehow surviving in the streets. These animals were once, or could be, someone's beloved pet. They shouldn't be sick, hungry, or in pain. They don't speak our many languages but they do speak one language we all have in common -- unconditional love. You can see it in their eyes... all they want is a pat on the head, a little food and a comfortable spot to sleep. And in return they will be your friend forever. My hope is that more people take notice and do something to help at least one stray cat or dog... it would make a BIG difference.
Stray cats are everywhere and their numbers can grow very quickly if left to breed. Lethal methods of controlling their population are outdated and inhumane. T-N-R (trap-neuter-return) is the most effective and humane method that works! The stray cat population in the U.S. is estimated to be approx. 70 to 100 million. Uncared for, homeless cats lead lonely, miserable lives. But when neutered, returned to where they were trapped and fed on a daily basis, they can live very happy, healthy lives. It would be ideal to adopt out every stray cat, but unfortunately, statistics tell us that there are just not enough homes available to adopt all the existing stray cats. And, the animal shelters are overcrowded and underfunded, so their answer is to euthanize. Please don't breed and buy while homeless ones die.
Homeless, alone, abandoned, lost, hungry, starving, hurt, injured, sick, sad, tired, cold. I created this video to help raise people's awareness of the plight of homeless companion animals, especially cats and dogs. It is my hope that after viewing my video, you will find it in your heart to adopt a homeless pet or volunteer some time and effort with a shelter or rescue organization. And, altering ALL cats and dogs really does help the overwhelming problem of pet overpopulation. why couldn't he just send down manna to feed everything? the idea of a living creature's body being food for another living creature seems to defy the bibles depiction of god being a merciful and loving god.
if that wasn't insult enough, he created the superior of the species without a fur coat leaving him to kill animals to stay warm. and even when the superior of the species learned how to stay warm without having to kill an animal, he still chooses to kill. add the trait of greed to the human and it even gets uglier for the animals. living in cramped quarters, illnesses and injuries unattended, needless and painful testing in labs are just a few of the atrocities which have befallen the creatures to which man was given dominion over.
i would also ask him why he made the domestic cat and the dog such prolific breeders when he knew eventually that literally millions of them would be given death sentences every year just for the "crime" of being born.
where is the love that god supposedly has for us?
.....where is the love when children and babies that are too young to even comprehend what war is are disfigured and killed by it? where is the love when a woman is burnt by her husband who is angry about the dowry promise being unfulfilled? where is the love when a young man is sent to die in a war he did not start? where is the love when a person is kept as a slave and lived an entire life slaving in the fields and beatings by their master? where is the love when approximately a quarter million boat people had to flee their homeland and their homes only to end up drowning at sea? where is the love when a person has been convicted of a crime he didn't commit and is executed? i don't care about the story in the bible telling about job and his trials. in fact, the story in my opinion shows what a sadist god can be. god takes one of his best subjects and submits him to one disaster after another. if this is how god rewards his faithful servants, why do so many people worship him? if i want to have a miserable life i can do it without being one of gods children. i can just go get married again.
.....and if he was so powerful then why did he let his supposed son die on the cross? no blood had to be shed for us to go to heaven if he wanted it that way. after all, isn't he god and suppose to be capable to do anything? sorry but i see a sadistic side to the god portrayed in the bible. i also find it hard to believe that some type of entity with the imagination and creativity it took to make this planet could actually be amused century after century just observing us. and he tells us that vanity is a sin? how many times does does the bible mention that we should worship this entity and put him first and praise his name and bow down to him? that's how he wants it. if he is as great as he claims to be then why does he have a need for constant ego gratification?
and if he really wants us to put him first in our life i would have to ask why he doesn't bother to take a little time out from his apparently busy schedule to drop in every so often and just at least say hello. the bible says on judgement day we will all have to answer to him. i think it should be the other way around... he should have to answer to us.
i don't condemn the bible itself. the ten commandments are an excellent set of guidelines to follow. this world would be much better of if only everyone would follow this set of rules. perhaps the bible would make more sense if man throughout the years hadn't kept changing things through translations to accomodate what the rulers at the time wanted the masses to believe. at the present time i can only say i do believe that we were created from something that is of a much higher and advanced intelligence than us and that the big bang theory doesn't cut it. so technically i am not atheist or even agnostic. but my belief in what god is or was is obviously not the standard belief of the masses. too many things in the bible are conflicting. it is better to have not ever heard the word than to hear it and reject it vs you must be born again to go to heaven. either you believe in jesus or you go to hell. so how can you not ever hear of jesus and not be worse of if you reject him? and there is a passage referring to the seventh heaven. one passage. nothing is said of the first, second, third, etc. heavens. when i read mention of the seventh heaven i got out the bible i had, surely this wasn't in my bible... looked up the passage and to my utter surprise it was there. to summerize, i believe in what the bible teaches but not completely in the bible itself, i believe in a god or gods, but not totally in the one the bible portrays. although i don't completely believe in the bible itself, i believe the world would be much better off if everyone did believe AND FOLLOW its teachings.
Going to church doesn't make you a Christian
any more than standing in a garage makes you a car.
