Deville was born Roogyne Sterling (Pronounced RUE-JEAN) in Manhattan, St Luke Hospital on Oct of 1982, as the last child of Bertha Cyriaque. She was officially raised in the Bronx River Projects.As growing up her only aspiration was to music, fashion and the arts. During a childhood age she would perform many things for many people from teachers, family and friends. At the age of 10 she started writing poetry. At that same time through her eldest sister watching the classic show “Video Music Box” she started watching video performances from A Tribe Called Quest, Mc Lyte, Queen Latifah, Das Efx and many others. That's when her passion for music grew more. At the age of 13 when she started to write lyrics to songs and as reciting her lyrics to her closest friends that really felt her flow. That's when in 97’ she was introduced to a 5 man group named “FORT APACHE”
