You Can Call It A Comeback…..“I’m doing this to show that dreams never die until the soul does”….This is the law and mission that 21 year old Raphel “Kayohtiq” Faison lives by in his life. Since the tender age of 4, Kayohtiq has always had a passion for expressing himself thru entertaining, with imitating someone on the television screen, or repeating the notes he heard from the radio, and always finding a way to motivate and keep the crowds that formed around him amused. Little Ralphie was born on January 9th, 1986...to a hard working mother and father. He can recall always hearing his mother harmonize to the tunes coming from the music box, responding emotionally whenever a certain song was played, and the excitement on her face whenever she danced along. It was then that Ralphie realized that he wanted to be the person on the other end of the radio. Ralphie’s father was also an influence to him, being a music producer before he was born, and playing some of his finished work. Whenever a family event took place, Ralphie was always the one to perform for his family, and capture many of his relative’s hearts after his show was done. Whenever the family took vacations to the Pocono Mountains, Ralphie continuously performed at all of the resort’s karaoke shows, and even still became a favorite to the resort’s staff and other vacationers. He also performed in the neighborhood church he attended regularly. It wasn’t soon before his former Pastor realized this young boy’s talent and placed in may of the church choir leads for most of the songs performed during Sunday Services. He also performed at many of his elementary and junior high school performances, choosing a school I.S. 271 in Brooklyn, which specializes in performing arts. This was a boy with a mission. Ralphie took another step in his life in his high school years, when he realized that he can express himself in other ways besides music. Performing at many high school talent shows and different shows all across New York City, Ralphie would amaze the crowd with his amazing physical movements, and his swift savvy moves. At this point of his life though, Ralphie was stuck between pursuing his career in Entertainment and finishing school. Due to the constant peer pressure and the manipulation of non believers, Ralphie regretfully took a break from the Entertaining world after his high school graduation. Though he went on to having a great College Career, deep down inside he was miserable, for dancing and especially singing for him was the reason for his existence he believed. Things took a turn for the worse in his second year of College, as his internal emptiness caused him a great deal of depression and many attempts of suicide. Ralphie tried to fill this void thru many unsuccessful relationships, unwanted heartbreaks, and other mental abusers, but failed immediately. With no one to turn to, Ralphie would let his radio be his counselor, and get him thru many of the hardships in his lifetime. He prayed and prayed for answers, and then one day, he realized the answer was looking him in the eye. He ha to do what was right for him, he had to live his life the way he wanted to live it. With now many positive influences, such as friends already in the music industry, and colleagues who shared the same dream as him, Ralphie was immediately driven to dive back into the Entertainment life. He joined and formed many different dance groups, performed in many different college shows all around New York State, and even had a vocal coach on the side to help him accomplish the heart of his desire, which is to sing. Since then, he has been on a move and now cannot be stopped. He is doing what needs to be done, and letting no one get in the way. He received the name “Kayohtiq”, after one day traveling on the train from practice and, along with his friend, randomly creating names to describe his Alternative Ego... (Chaotic individual YES he is!) He hopes one day to musically move if not a crowd just one individual. His dream is to share his stories of love, heartbreak, giving up, and holding on a second longer to the world lyrically (yes he’s an extremely gifted writer as well!)...He is also looking to express his thoughts physically, as he has evolved from just a simple dancer to a talented choreographer. One day, he knows his hard work will eventually pay off, and he will become what he knows he is meant to be; A Powerful Force to Be Reckoned With!~You Can Catch "Kayohtiq" a.k.a.
