I would like to start by stating that SlipKnoT is the baddest GROUP of musicians to ever walk the face of the earth.***********************
Any non-believers are welcome to express their opinion to me AFTER you've seen them live.( Lucky me.....Twice so far! ) They have 9 people playing instruments at any given time. That's alot. you have a full time drummer ( JOEY-JOEY-JOEY ) , 2 percussionists/backing vocalists ,2 Guitarists , bass guitar ,Vox , a "D.J." and a sampler who is also the visual media guy. Thats alot of shit to keep together and orchestrate , but they do it great! Hats off to their SOUND-GUY!!! Way to go ,bro! You deserve a spliff. ************************************* so it's obvious--I love the way they play------- , but today , after looking for a T-shirt OTHER than a SlipknoT one , I realized : 1.- I don't own too many other T-shirts. 2. I don't care for too many other Tees. ************************************** Then as my 5 month old twins and I were watching the home DVD ( I know --that's a bit young , but when I put in Stevie Ray Vaughn , they start to cry. For whatever reason , they LOVE watching SlipKnoT!! ), I looked over at my computer and saw my "outside the nine" wallpaper , and it hits me---I LOVE these fukkers. Not in a gay-kissy-kissy kind of way ,more like a mi casa es tu casa kinda thing. I don't even know them , but I like their music sooooo much , that I'd open the doors of my house to em.......... is that odd? oh,well. Those Mother-forkers RULE!!!!! VIVA SlipKnoT!! *************************
and before you go thinking I have limited experience seeing live acts---I saw my first show in 1988 ( Monsters of Rock w/ Metallica,Dokken , Scorpions and Van Hagar.( Roth!!) and I've seen a little over 100 pro shows since.and have played just as many.Some of the acts I've witnessed : Metallica ( 7 times! ) Pantera ( 6 times! ) Black Sabbath--- Ozzy----- Suicidal Tendencies---- Marilyn Manson----- Whitesnake w/Steve Vai on Guitar ----- Slayer-4 times----- Testament -twice---- Alice Cooper------ Megadeth -3 times---- Lamb of God--twice--- Shadows Fall----- Coal Chamber------ Type-o-negative -----
