Brainstorm Records is an independent label representing the 518 area code in the UNDERGROUND HIP HOP COMMUNITY. Based solely out of ALBANY,NY, A few members are currently attending SUNY Oneonta to further our evergrowing knowledge of the Music Industry. Hip Hop is a lifestyle and The Brainstorm Crew has been living it since the days of, "Enter Da 36 Chambers", and "Ready to Die". Our first "Studio", consisted of a Gemini Mixer, an Optimus Synthesizer, and a Sanyo 2-way speaker system. . .we've grown, become educated, networked, and evolved into the Crew we are becuase of our PASSION for Hip Hop. Now using Software such as Pro Tools, Reason 3.0, Acid Pro, 4.0, Live Lite 5.0, Fruity Loops Producer 4.0, and such Hardware with names like Akai, Korg, M-Audio, Memorex, and a ton more we are ever ready to expand our label to anyone living the HIP HOP lifestyle, but more particularly the UNDERGROUND HIP HOP Lifestlye.
BIOS:
Absolute - Producer/Engineer: Born and Raised in Albany, his beats been compared to the sound-styles of DJ Premiere and the Alchemist. He is the Producer/Engineer in the Brainstorm crew with unbelieveable originality. Ever perfecting his quality Absolute is always on Point.
Xkwisit - Lyricist/Producer: Never has Albany seen such a Nutty Lyricist. Spitting Rhymes with a unique flow, Xkwisit pushes mics to the limits and his lyrics always put a smile on the faces of ANYONE who listens. Strickly about entertainment, never does Xkwisit mention "ICE, GRILLS, GUNS, CARS, ETC." he leaves that shit for the cornballs.
DaKProPpa - Lyricist: This Kid's got a "Unique Voice Quality". Spitting and spitting, "Dak" is ever perfecting his flow and style. No Rapper can emulate his flow because it is so unique. Entertaining is his best quality, live performance with Dak is always fun watching but with him you'll be participating.
E-Ragz - Definately not your "Average Diva". Erin melts the lyrics together with a touch of Hip Hop-R&B. Leaning more towards the HIP HOP side of singing, She connects well with the other memebers of THE BRAINSTORM RECORDS CREW giving the tracks more color and emotion, so that our listeners can understand the depth of all our tracks.
DJ Duece - DJ/Producer: The "Cutmaster" of the group. "Duece" has been spinning records since '95. Live performance is his strength. Many of you who live in the 518 may have seen him perform for MTV and at such venues as Elda's, Doc McCutchins, Sneaky Petes, Bogies, Michael's, Spinners, and The Eldorardo, also host of the "GroundBreakers Show" on 90.9FM WCDB Albany.
Brainstorm isn't about money, and flash. Our goal is to HAVE FUN doing what we do. We live the lifestyle why not REPRESENT IT? We're always down to collaborate with Underground Groups. And Ever Performing in the 518 we look forward to meeting new people and getting our music heard. Its all about THE UNDERGROUND.HIP HOP MOVEMENT. Support Us!!!
