A Queens native, Algorhythm now hails from Albany, NY. A prolific poet and
lyricist since his early teens, his latest efforts have spawned a creative, unique and intelligent body of work. He has been likened to artists as varied as KRS-ONE, Immortal Technique, Mos Def and Eminem
Algorhythm is a Professional MC/Poet. Algorhythm has started his own Label Algo Records. As a producer he creates varied upfront music, some of which is currently getting airplay .. radio stations like 91.5 WRPI (dj daddy sparks). Beginning his professional life as a mere teenager (13), Algorhythm started performing at poetry events in the Albany local scene at clubs such as QE2 and Soul kitchen.
Grinding his way through the poetry scene with a group he met when he was 16, called Rebel Army poets, he then started rapping at the age of 18 with a group called 187 and dropped his first album in 2004 called "SEARCH FOR IMMORTALITY" PRODUCED BY "grimm cypher A.K.A Exile". Algorhythm is now working on his second album "CASTLE IN THE SKY" which should be out by September 2007 produced by "jory" from the group Broadcast Live 2006 top 40 cmj charts.
