Mr Nibs ツ

Hello to you all!My Name is Chris Parry also known as "Parry" by friends or "Mr Nibs" if you listen to Russell Brands Radio 2 Show. Im now living in Borehamwood, North London (its were the do Big Brother). Im from a small Welsh Town in North Wales on Anglesey, its quite nice there really. Its not as crappy as some people say it is, Its quite quiet and its really lovely there in the Summer. Now then, here is a little more about me....In the summer of 2006 I finished studying a course called EDEXCEL National Diploma in Media (Moving Image) and got a Merit, Pass, Pass which I think is equivalent to B,C,C in A-Level Which is allright I suppose, Im sure I could have done better.I have always been interested in the TV Industry, when I was just seven years old I became an extra for a Welsh TV programme that is filmend in my village called "Rownd a Rownd" here is the website, www.s4c.co.uk/rowndarownd and Im still an extra for them now.When I was around 11 I went on CITV, they asked the viewers to "Be part of it" and go on TV and take over their job. I wrote in and I was chosen to go down to London with my mum, I stayed in a posh Hotel and I was taken by limousine to the ITV network centre in Grays Inn Road. There I met Jeanie Grace the controller of CITV and my job was to pick CITV programmes that were going to go on air the following Monday. However, I could not just pick any programme as there was only a 90-minute time slot so I had to choose wisely, plus I was 11 at the time.A week later they invited back to the CITV studios in Birmingham, I was interviewed live on air by the presenter Danielle Nicholls and later that year they invited me to present a promotional sales tape for the bosses of CITV, this was not shown on TV but was played in meeting for the bosses of CITV.lol. The Year after they invited me back again to present CITV live on air for a week with two other viewers, it was "Take Over Tv" weekAs soon as I finished my Media Corse I got on the phone to Bellyache Productions, they do "Bo Selecta". The Show they were doing at the time was called "Bo! in the USA". I asked If I coud be a extra on the show and they said they would get back to me. I heard nothing but one Sunday Night I got a phonecall from them asking If I could be in Pinewood Studios the following day at 8am. Remember I was in North Wales at the time and this was a Sunday Night. Anway I said Yes and got onto a train at about 2am off I went. My Mother of course was qite worried as it was my frist trip to London allone, but I told her its what I want to do and I wont get anywere sitting on my arse lol. I went down a second time too and was in a few scenes, the first episode was aired on October 13th 2006 on Channel4. The creator and star of the Show Leigh Francis gave me shoutout on the DVD commentry and signed the DVD thanking me for the support. I also made a "Bo in the USA" MySpace to promote the show. "Bo in the USA" is avalable on DVD make sure you get a copy as its a right larff!!Since finishing my Media Course I am getting more familiar with the Media industry. I have learnt many things that include editing video and photos, producing, directing and how to use a video camera properly without it looking amateurish. I Still want to learn more and am in the middle of writing to production company’s and doing various TV and Radio jobs.Over the past year I have been really enjoying myself by going down to London, Ive been to a party in the Big Brother House, appearing in the audience of a number of different TV shows which include "Big Brother Evictions", "Big brothers Big Mouth", "8 out of 10 cats", "The Friday Night Project" and most recently "Comic Relief". I always go down on my own although I do offer my friends to come with me but they never want to come. Never mind, I enjoy going down on my own to London as I meet loads of different people and I have met loads of new friends. Most of them I still keep In touch on here, you know who you are and Ive made some ace friends.I always say that you only live once and there is a whole world out there to see, So I try and live life to the full.Although my part of North Wales is really nice, there is nothing really here for me. I hope to travel the world in about 2 years for a few months. You know, where you pay around £2000 for a ticket and you get to go 2 America, Hawaii, Australia, New Zeland, Thailand and you get to go Sky diving n shit. It depends what package you get. What an experience that’ll be!! I have told my friends about the travelling around the world thing but there not interested, I suppose there not as ambitious or as open-minded as I am. That’s not going to stop me going though as Ill meet loads of people like myself probably.At the end of 2006 I worked with Russell Brand on the last two shows of MTVs "1 Leicester Square" It was a really good experience and I was even invited to the aftershow wrap party. There I became friends with Russell Brand and thats where he gave me the nickname "Mr Nibs". He calls me his "Squire" or "Servant" and sometimes has me on his Radio 2 show on a Saturday night 9-11, I try and visit the show as much as I can but I live quite far away from London. I was co-presenting and producing on the brekfast show for two weeks and they give me a task to get a celebrity on the show, at the end of the two weeks I managed to get Mr Brand on the show. I also play out shows while presenters are away and over the summer I was a Big Brother Reporter for Red Dragon FM in South Wales. In January 2008 I was a Big Brother Reporter for a few different radio stations over the UK. I also useto answer the phones at Coast and Champion every Friday and occasionally do the odd Black Thunder work.Im currently working as a "Audience Researcher" at Elstree Studios in Borehamwood, I work for a company called Applause Store. Basically, I deal with the Audiences for TV shows. If you want tickets for TV shows go to www.ApplauseStore.com, register with them for free. Then you can either apply for the shows online, or call us up in the office Mon-Fri 10.30-6.00 and do it over the phone. If we have the tickets you want we will email them for you. Subject to avalability ;-)I get quite a lot of messages on here from people who wish to do the same thing as me and they ask how I get these work experiences and small parts on TV and that. To be honest, I dont really know the answer to that. I suppose to dont get anywere without asking.
