Alvin k is always more focusing himself to the journey of his set rather than classifying genres. Inspired by James Holden, Richie Hawtin and Pig & Dan, Alvin plays variety of sound without loosing his own style - deep, dark, dirty with atmospheric sounding. He has proved his obsession for genres ranging from dirty minimal tech house, through to twisted house. This variety of sound creates unique journey within his sets.Alvin’s interest in DJing was begun in 1999, when he moved to Australia to study purposed, started with collecting records from the second hand record shop. In 2000, he competed himself in Queensland DJ competition, where he gets the attention from local promoters, and been asked to join Jencorp Agency – one of the finest DJ agencies in Brisbane.Alvin' s signing and heavy involvement with Jencorp has earn him a number of solid residencies in the past and present events, including Exposed, J-Flight, and Dark & Dirty - where he is also involved in the running of the event. Alvin has also played at a number of large and underground events while in Australia including Adventjah Festival, Reanimator, Time Tunnel, System 6 and DROP, and supported a number of world class acts like John 00 Fleming, Chris Fortier, Matthew Dekay, DJ Misjah, The Prophet, and Jono Fernandez.Alvin’s arrival in Indonesia in mid 2005 will trully gives a fresh air for electronic music sound and movement in the country, as he continues to expand his insight into music by means of production, setting himself for regular spot in Jakarta’s major events / festivals, and getting international promotion. Alvin will also be looking at throwing his Dark & Dirty event in Asia truly showing the commitment he has in providing true quality underground electronic music to the masses.
