My Interests

Television:

Heroes is by far the best show on tv. Great characters, compelling story, and the most realistic version of a comic book brought to life since Unbreakable. (Shyamalan's best btw) Although I havn't given up on Lost(I'm not going to repeat what's been been talked to death on a million other websites), it's definately lost (aw shit) some of it's steam. Battlestar Galactica is consistently great and if Lost dosn't man-up than Heroes and BSG can duke it out for the number one spot my coveted list. For a series that looked like a throw away time filler two Septembers ago, I love Prison Break. The show's all over the place (in a good way) and one of the few I can't miss. I have to give Rome and Deadwood their props. One of them has only two episodes left and the other may or may not be coming back in the form of a pair of made for HBO movies. The fact that I generally hate "period pieces" is a testament to how amazing both of these shows are. They will be missed. I like Survivor, Man Vs Wild, and Survivorman (Is that a pattern? I'm not sure) There's much more stuff I don't like but why focus on that much hate.

Heroes:

Unlike most people, I've lost the luxury of having a hero. When you first picture the term hero, dozens of images come to mind. Soldiers, politicians (not many), leaders, parents, conquerors, hell, even actors and musicians to some degree. Point being, that everyone (I assume) strives to be a better person, and your hero embodies what you happen to believe in. I've always been a fan of wildlife, reptiles in particular. That being said, Steve Irwin was my hero, and my hero was killed.I was going to write about fuck stingrays but I changed my mind.Rest In Peace Steve, you are missed.

Racism in Comics

Reading CBR recently it turns out that some creators (Alan Moore in particular) think that racism is prevelant in comics today. I don't see it, but to be fair I only read a handful of books, mostly i...
