life on the frontier

About Me

not sure yet. working through the options by a process of elimination. the certainties so far: 1)there's no life without love 3) sunshine to happiness ratio is directly proportionate. 3b)moonlight gets my vote too though.5) there is no heaven or hell. 6) force creates resistance. 7) connecting with people is the most important thing you will ever do. 8) connecting with people is the most painful thing you will ever do. 9) parents are still children inside. 10)in the great scheme of things you and i are but a speck of dust on this planet. 11)alcohol deserves a much more sinister reputation than it currently enjoys. 12)fear is the mindkiller. 13)smiling is the mindfreer. 14)people sing in the shower because they are happy to be naked and covered in water. the only thing better is a hot tub. 15)everyone is capable of creativity. 16)anxiety leads to cravings for cigarettes, junk food, clothes, whatever. 17)(as yet) unproven personal theory: box-shaped houses in suburbia lead to stagnation of the mind. therefore i want to live on a boat, in a treehouse, in a pod, in a cardboard box. as long as it's not a 3-bed semi i'll be happy. 18)america is a land where the SUV rules supreme. 19)honesty is the best policy. 20)mogwai must always be played at maximum volume... tbc.

the secret life of bees

I realized it for the first time in my life: there is nothing but mystery in the world, how it hides behind the fabric of our poor, browbeat days, shining brightly, and we don't even know it.
