About Me

www.WilliamPaulDelp.com I'm a composer, filmmaker, and political and social activist on the Upper West Side of Manhattan. I compose music for: musicians, filmmakers, modern dance choreographers, and theatrical events. I teach music composition, music appreciation, piano, and voice privately. All of my compositions are in the process of being published by http://www.MjCerri.com I'm also a composer scout, proofreader, sales rep, and consultant for M.J. Cerri. ONE of my most important current projects is making one of the coolest "art" films with a talented group of impassioned specialists in diverse fields! I'd say more but I don't give away my secrets for free. As a matter of fact, I'm a professional connector. I'm paid for connections that I make. I'm also a music coach and life coach. My film project is the most elaborate manifestation of my composing, connecting, coaching, and teaching activities. I've sung since I was 7 and now sing as an alto, tenor, and bass. I was a percussionist for a long time in orchestras, bands, and ensembles playing everything from renaissance to contemporary music. I've improvised on the piano for modern dance performances, comedians, and written for several choreographers, several of whom have commissioned me. I'm looking forward to performances of my wind music and string music in Spring 2008. The Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center http://www.ChamberMusicSociety.org opened their 2007-2008 season with a LEGENDARY assemblage of composers, performers, masterpieces, supporters, and wildly enthusiastic musical afficianados and novices. http://www.ChamberMusicSociety.org/eventDetail/45/eventDate= 2007-09-19 Suffice it to say that the synergistic affect of all of the musicians and the cleverly orchestrated program and breathtakingly beautiful Jazz at Lincoln Center home venue created an otherworldly frenzy of activity and SUBLIME gravity and peace! The Guarneri Quartet's Dvorak "American" Quartet performance was transcendent! Stephanie Blythe's magical portrayal in Vignettes: Ellis Island was worthy of: La Scala, The Metropolitan Opera, Das Lied von der Erde, and heaven! I loved the LOCRIAN CHAMBER PLAYERS www.Locrian.org magical and masterful concert on Saturday, August 25th at Riverside Church which featured the truly AWESOME NY Premiere of George Crumb's THE WINDS OF DESTINY and impressive pieces by Kevin Volans and Aaron Paul Low! The angelic Elizabeth Farnum thoughfully transcended the challenging, beautiful-looking, beautiful-sounding Crumb score with riveting passion and a depth of sensitivity seldom encountered on this planet. Jonathan Faiman and Blair McMillen made the piano sing clearly and evocatively in multiple languages. They painted the sounds of the world through the keyboard and the piano's strings, pedals, and soundboard. The four great, dedicated, and finely synced percussionists delivered exquisitely nuanced sonic tapestries that elevated the proceedings to the level of transformative musical oratory of the highest order. The exquisite universe of percussion instruments were provided by http://www.AyersPercussion.com The Crumb was fine-tuned and balanced via the masterful conducting of John Ferrari. Keep your eyes on www.MySpace.com/WilliamPaulDelp for important musical, politicial, and social updates! Ralph Nader is running for President of the United States. His running mate is Matt Gonzales. http://www.VoteNader.org I'm a member of the Green Party's Presidential Campaign Support Committee http://www.gp.org/committees/pcsc
