My trio and quartet have two records on Origin/OA2 Records .My trio includes Jim Cox and Phil Gratteau, who have played together for more than 30 years.I have played with many notables including Ira Sullivan, Cecil Bridgewater, Von Freeman, Marlene Rosenberg, Chicago Jazz Orchestra and several others.I am from Central Illinois, though Chicago has been home for the past 7 years. I hold a bachelors degree in Philosophy. I began playing piano at 19 after hearing the Bill Evans Trio.
