MaryMonica Thomas has delighted cabaret audiences in Chicago at The Park West, Toulouse on the Park, The Gentry, Voltaire, Chicago Cultural Center, The Royal George Theater , The Apple Tree Theater, Candlelight Dinner Theater, Tuscany in Wheeling and Oakbrook, and The Mercury Theater. In addition to her solo career, she is proud to be a part of the dynamic vocal trio 3Girls3 with Gail Koppa and Heather Moran. She is pleased to have debuted her shows Sepia Tones: The Music of Dorothy Dandridge and The Summer Knows (lyrics of Alan and Marilyn Bergman) to critical acclaim at Davenport’s. In addition, She has performed at other landmark hotels and clubs such as Windsor’s Cigar Lounge in the Palmer House Hilton, Philander’s at the Oak Park Carlton, and even The Club at Symphony Center. “Sepia Tones†was named 1 Cabaret show of 2002 in Chicago by Jeff Rossen of Cabaret Scenes Magazine, and MaryMonica is the recipient of the 2002 After Dark Award for Outstanding Cabaret Artist. “Sepia Tones†had the honor of being presented as part of the 2003 Chicago Humanities Festival. She has performed with 3Girls3 at the prestigious Plush Room in San Francisco, and has performed cabaret nationwide at the Duplex in New York and Odette’s in New Hope, PA with “An American Romance: The Songs of Irving Berlin†co-starring Joan Curto and Tom Michael. Boasting the world’s best “day jobâ€, she is the President of her own entertainment booking company, MaryMonica Music Inc., and she’s also the lead vocalist on the Topaz deck of the Odyssey Dinner Cruiseship at Navy Pier. Her newest cabaret show, Everything is Chita celebrates the music of Ms. Chita Rivera and debuted at Maxim’s March 12th. She is proud to be performing on July 14th as part of the Drury Lane Watertower Place summer series in “All-American Composersâ€.
