Imbrue formed in 1996 while Chris Bengs(Vocals), Shaun Nix (lead guitars), and James Williams (Rhythm guitar) were only 15 years old and just learning to play their instruments. Their formative years were spent jamming in garages and living rooms, trying their best to be like their heroes in Metallica and Machine Head. By the time they had graduated from High School, Imbrue had recorded an eight song demo and played up and down the central coast of California.
Shortly after graduation, Matthew Minnick joined as the permanent drummer for the group, bringing much needed professionalism and discipline. Imbrue left their hometown of Santa Maria, California to move to Los Angeles and attend the Musicians Institute. With the addition of Donnie Peterson on bass in early 2006, Imbrue is poised and ready to take on the west coast metal scene by any means necessary. Imbrue is currently recording their third demo with producers Mike Sarkisyan (formerly of Roadrunner Records band Spineshank) and Raymond Herrera (of Fear Factory), which will be released in July 2007.
