hey! my name is chelsea, and i LOVE billy mann :) i know many of you love teddy geiger, and billy is the person who discovered him! billy has also discovered a number of other musicians and bands, including one of my other favorites, dirtie blonde. i have met both teddy and dirtie blonde a few times and they are all sweet, genuine people just like billy! so if you like billy mann add this site! he's going to be involved in some stuff on here!

The diversity of these artists is no coincidence. Billy has a rare ability to write hits that cross over from pop to rock, R and B to country, while still retaining his signature melodies and lyrical flair. Billy's raw talent, top-notch execution, and boundless creativity, have made him one of the most in demand' songwriter/producers in the business.
Raised in inner city Philadelphia, Billy grew up influenced by the 'Philly Sound' and at an early age began to develop a lyrical and melodic style with a definite edge. While still a teen, he was taken under the wing of Jazz legend Grover Washington Jr. and quickly developed a name for himself as one of the top up-and-coming singer-songwriters in the city. Initially signed by the producer Ric Wake, Billy released his self-titled debut album in 1995; this album received critical acclaim and found international chart success.
After the release of Billy's touching and most personal work from his second album, "Earthbound," which also received critical acclaim (including NPR/XPN's Best Album of 1998), Billy traveled to Europe to produce three International Grammy winning artists: Robyn (Jive), Jennifer Brown (BMG), and Thomas Helmig (BMG) and to pen numerous international Top Ten hits. At the same time, Billy continued to grow his career in America.
As a musician, singer, songwriter, producer, and entrepreneur, Billy's depth of experience has brought him to the forefront of the music industry. With the credibility of a veteran, at only 35, it's clear that Billy's musical journey is just beginning.
