Fish Barm
Well we're a group of boys who make videos. We've made 3 DVDs and a whole bunch of videos which you can enjoy online. Our first film was on DVD andtitled 'Fish Barm' and was filmed and produced over Summer '05. This also came with an extras DVD packed with additional footage and bonus videos.
The following year, Fish Barm 2 was released on DVD, also including a bonus disk with extras, trailers and special interviews.
Not long after this, the 3rd full length film was created on DVD, a project which took 6 months to produce. It was titled "Fish Barm - The Early Years", and was made up of footage from 5 old videos tapes we'd filmed over the past 4-5 years or so. The film consisted of mainly stunts, silly skits and whatever else we filmed ourselves doing at that age.
Recently, the highlights from these videos were made into smaller video packages complete with soundtracks which you can view yourself! You'll fine these in the video section above.
What It's All About
We've been doing this for a while, and earlier this year we really hit it off. We pretty much hit the nail on the head with our new Myspace Film account, and since we registered it the whole Fish Barm experience was blown into new heights. These days our videos average a good few hundred views a day, something which we're very proud of achieving. Our Top Friends also has about 4-5 countries represented in it. We take pride in knowing that Myspace users all around the world enjoy what we do and at the end of the day, that's the whole reason why we make them. All the hard work is worth it if we hear we've made someone's day with our videos. We don't make any money off what we do of course, but putting a smile on someone's face with our antics gives us a better feeling than any payoff can.
It all began in Winter 2001, Oli O'Neill, Tom Lane, Ste Fletcher, Max Taberner, Aaron Ngan and Will Lane all decide to go out with a video camera and film themselves doing daft things such as riding sledges into streams and diving out of trees. The videos started the build up, the boys trashed rooms, rode whatever they could find into rivers and hurt themselves almost on a daily basis. 5 videos were made, which were recently made into a "best of.." DVD. Since then, the boys have stepped it up, putting more work into the skits and editing their work. Putting their stuff on the internet has proven to be their best move and have since managed to make somewhat of a name for themselves.
Fish Barm have always got their loyal fans to thank, and whoever else has watched the videos and supported them since. Thanks to all those proudly supporting the FBK banners, it's greatly appreciated.
Fish Barm have always got new videos out! Check back each week and tell your friends about the Fish Barm Krew!
The story behind 'Fish Barm'
June 2005, and Oli O'Neill inspired by Haggard comes up with the idea of making our own movie. He pitches the idea to Tom, who thinks its brilliant and they both write ideas and characters for the film. Soon after, they begin filming, mainly doing stupid stunts and playing pranks on Ste. When it came to decided the name, Oli suggested "Fish Barm" after seeing the words grafitti'ed above a spraypainted vagina on a wall. It was decided we'd keep it until we thought of a better name. We weren't able to, but by then the whole film had kicked off anyway and so it was too late to change it. 'Fish Barm' stuck and remains to this day. Do the boys think its ridiculous? Yes. Would they go back and change it? Probably, but we're the Fish Barm Krew now and there's no stopping us.
Tape 3
..
Fish Barm slipping you a feature length 2007!
Currently, we're scripting a new full-length film due to be released some time next year. Most of our effort for the rest of the year will be put into writing, shooting and editing this film. The boys are also excited to have much of this film edited by Nick Lee. Hopefully the film will contain a whole host of cameo and guest appearances. If you'd like to make an appearance in the film, message us and we'll be happy to sort you a small part.
The plan is to film and edit a chapter at a time, and eventually upload those one-by-one to our videos for you all to see. Our current schedule hopes it'll take no longer than a couple of weeks for each scene.
Filming is due to start in December so expect the first chapter soon afterwards.
Arcade Mode
The film opens with a group of boys who meet up on a daily basis, except one day things change. A video is delivered to Scott, played by Oli O'Neill. When played, the group watch in horror as they see Scott's beloved dog tied and bound by a mysterious figure. The dognapper reveals himself to be Professor Bástard, the victim of a near-fatal trolley accident caused by Scott years before. The accident resulted in Bástard losing half his face, and left him filled with bitterness and hate. In an act of vengeance, The Professor challenges Scott to a trolley race between them both, offering Scott the chance to win his dog back in he can beat Bástard. The boys quickly realise they'll have to build the fastest trolley possible in order to defeat the Prof and the only way to do this would be to equip their trolley with a Flux Capasitor.
Here, the boys must somehow earn enough money to buy one before time runs out. They need a lot of money, and fast and so decide the quickest way would be fame. In the boy's eyes, fame equals money so they race against the clock to succeed. Will the boys prevail and defeat the evil Professor thus winning back Scott's dog, or will they let fame get to their heads along the way.
'Arcade Mode' will be a non-stop thriller ride, with a test of friendship, bizarre sub-plots and "out of this world" characters that the whole family can enjoy.

Back in 2001, Tom with Oli started the whole team off and they've been filming ever since. Being the videographer and the main editor, Tom is an important member of the team today, without him all this wouldn't be possible. Tom edited both the full length films and each video since. Recently assisted by Dan in the editing department, they work together now in putting the funniest videos together. His personal myspace hosts these videos.
Usually enjoys the title role in most of the skits, all of what he does is briefly discussed before filming but most of what you see on screen is improvised. His most popular roles so far have included the 'Boss' in the Business sketch, and the Ice-cream man, most noticably his stunt where he drove a cardboard ice-cream van into the river. Oli has been making films in the team from the very beginning, you can watch all the early stuff in the 2002 and 2003 videos.
Is the second half of the editing team and has appeared in every skit made since he joined the Krew earlier this year. His biggest role to date would be as a zombie in Fish Barm's most successful video, Zombie Crew . Since then he has appeared in the Business sketch and various others. He thinks up some good ideas for filming and does a lot to promote Fish Barm. Dan is also about 8 ft tall and drinks crisps like nobodies business.
Joined the team at the start of Fish Barm 2 and was a regular throughout the movie. Chris has appeared in some of the recent skits, including the Business sketch as part of the company set out to destroy Ronald McDonald. He'll also be appearing in all others made in the near future, including havinga main role in the 3rd full length movie due to start production later this year.
Been a member from the start, and also starred in both Fish Barm films, making his name doing ridiculous stunts and usually coming out the worst. Ste was also the victim in a number of pranks played on him by Oli and Tom in Fish Barm 1. These include having his door newspapered up, and being served "breakfast in bed" where a box of Cherios was poured on his head as he was asleep. He stole the show in the Driving Home for Christmas video in 2005, and has been involved in recent videos, most noticably his role as Ronald McDonald in the Business.
