Alive and Well... in Sunny California

About Me

I am a changed man. A different person than I was a few months ago and certainly different than the person I set out to be.I just moved to California... San Francisco... after a long love affair with my home State of Michigan. I had stops in Austin and Los Angeles, but for 27 years I called Michigan home.I believe in eating a healthy diet, that consists of organic foods. I have changed most of my diet since I moved and I can already tell that I am much healthier, happier and a better person for it.I believe that life is hard and that at times it can be seemingly unbearable, I also know that fighting this struggle and pushing forward is not only what gives you depth, but also gives you strength. It is what makes you wise and one day (when the time is right) will make me a great husband/Father, because I will be able to share my journey with those who may need to hear about it.I grew up Catholic, but I frown upon most major religions. I think any organization that has such strict guidelines and outlooks on life must be unaware of just how difficult life is. I can't imagine supporting or aligning with any organization that would call certain people sinners, simply because they don't like what they do.I find it hard to relate to a political party, because I think our entire country is a bit flawed and broken right now. I remember being very scared after 9/11 and wanted to bomb everyone related to the incident...and over time, logic, thought... I began to realize that WAR... and attacking anyone related to an "ideology" was a futile attempt and kind of ridiculous. More than anything, I believe it is time we take care of our own people in America first...rather than trying to fix another country. There are times in life where I seem very outgoing and other times when I am very nervous and intimidated by life. I don't do a great job hiding my anxiety. I have learned that when I get unnerved, it usually takes pushing forward and living with the awful feeling of "Holy Crap, what happens next!?" ... I would like to say that it gets better over time, but even going to the grocery store... I still find myself getting nervous. So...don't be surprised if I ask you to go to a Grocery Store with me... for some reason, shopping with another person just makes me feel less nervous.I don't know if I am that much different than any other person, as we all feel the same types of feelings. However, I do believe my approach to life makes me unique.I am someone who believes in making a difference. I like to spark change. I like to mix things up. I like to push and to be pushed. I like to learn. I like to talk about deep things and ideas. I like to laugh...and I am known for making other people laugh.I relish the nickname "Human Cocaine"... but that's another story.I love to meet new and wonderful people. Here is my newest dance i made upHere I am Singing Borderline...
