Green Gel Records

...and you'll never hear surf-music again...

About Me

Green Gel Records was founded in Seattle, Washinton ca. 1990 by John the Baptist singer/writer/guitarist Jerry O'Neill aka. Gerald Weymeth.
Although the "old catalog" and some "odds and sods" have been assembled or re-assembled for release, there are no plans to expand as a records label.
Occasional new solo- Dolly Rocker / Uncle John material and videos, as well as old material from other projects, will be made available through this site, in what ever form it may surface in the future.
About the name:
The first part of the story is that Green Gel Records was named after a particular batch of LSD that was circulating around Seattle at the time.
- True.
The second part of the story is that it was the product of a revelation while under influence of the afore mentioned mind-altering substance.
- Not true.
Andy, bass player for John the Baptist , had sampled some.
He said it was VERY, VERY good.
I took his word for it.
The name had a nice ring...and color that matched the carpets...
