Hello everyone and thanx for visiting my profile! My name is Rainer Tuomikanto, but you can call me Raikku. I'm a professional drummer/drumtech/drum teacher from Finland. I started to play drums in '91, when I was ten years old. My old school and band mate along with my father got me interested in playing. My first drumbeat was the intro from a Guns 'n' Roses' song "You Could Be Mine". My first experience in a band (Sacrament) was in '92, and a year later I got my first drumkit (Trax). It was 1994 when I got my first doublepedal, Premier brand. I have studied in various places through the years, for example: Soitin Mirsch (with Matti Oiling), music school Tauko (with Tero Seppänen) and Oulunkylä's Pop/Jazz conservatory (e.g. with Timo Roiko-Jokela and Miri Miettinen). Here are few bands I've worked/I'm currently working with: Causemos , [Zion:Aid], Officer Down , Spirit Disease , Dauntless & Dead Shape Figure . I'm also a drum technician to a Finnish band called myGRAIN .
