'THE MOST ORIGINAL SOUND IN CT' Rick Allison, WPLR

About Me

FAR FROM HERE was formed in 2002, and is based in Wallingford, CT. Their music is a unique blend of genres, brought together to create a unique and appealing sound. The musical result can be best described as progressive/pop/rock.
FAR FROM HERE has played many well-known venues in the Connecticut area, such as Toad's Place in New Haven and The Webster Theatre in Hartford, and has been the opening act for such notable acts as The Marshall Tucker Band and Blue Oyster Cult. They also enjoy regular airplay on ultraradio.com, WESU-FM Wesleyan University Radio, and WPLR-FM, 99.1 New Haven.
Released in 2003, the band's self-titled first CD was comprised of 9 original songs, was well-received by industry experts, and featured in a full-length article in PLAY magazine.
FAR FROM HERE continues to write new and innovative songs and play venues around the area. Keep an eye on this site to see where they will be next!
