Born & raised in Miami FL, Larry (Dredbone) Oakes, started the rock-rap group:Underground FUNK in 1995. They released two albums,one in 96 and one in 98. They had a huge following in South Florida, where they opened for bands such as Black Eyed Peas, 311, and RunDMC. In 1999 Dredbone & another member (Y-not) of Underground FUNK broke-off to form the country-rock-rap group: DirtyWhiteBoys, who released an album in 2002. Larry (Dredbone) Oakes produced all the music, co-wrote the lyrics for, and performed on most of the songs by Underground FUNK and Dirty White Boys.
