Yogi is a solo rap artist from Miami, he has been into music his whole life and has always wanted to be a star. After his dad left he knew he had to do something big to support his whole family because he was the new man of the house,. At the age of 15 he figured out his true talent, he figured out he wanted to be a rapper which is when he started writing endless lyrics and started testing the waters of freestyling. He told his boys of his plans but no one believed in him, everyone said that it was impossible. Knowing it was going to be hard made him want to make it even more, so he kept practicing filling up countless notebooks with lyrics. He hustled trying to build connections with producers and track engineers, basically talking to any one who had recording equipment or made beats. Yogi soon met a track engineer/producer that went by the name of Waser. Although Waser wasn't a big name he gave Yogi the support he needed by letting him use his recording equipment to make tracks. Yogi began recording on a daily basis by the day and throwing parties at various Miami clubs by night to get money. Because all of his friends advised him to stay away from the drug scene if he wanted to be on stage instead of in jail. Yogi soon started building a lot of connections with club owners and club promoters so he used that to his advantage. He got his name on every club flyer to start building a buzz in the Miami area. With the help of www.myspace.com/305yogi Yogi set up an artist page on the well known site and started promoting his page, word of mouth kicked in and he started getting hundreds of plays a day, people showing a lot of support dropping numerous comments about his music, everyone started asking him when he was going to perform. Using his connections in the Miami club scene he set up numerous performances at various popular Miami clubs like Space and Rendezvous. Yogi slowly started building a street team which was in charge of posting up flyers on streets and passing out flyers promoting his myspace.com page where his music is at. "You can't believe in a dream if you cant believe in your self" says Yogi, he also believes the music industry is about hustlin, hustlin your music, which is what sets him apart from other rappers, he believes he is a 12 on a 1-10 scale because he knows there is ppl that are better then him lyrically but NO ONE is on his level of hunger and dedication to make it! With out a doubt he is on his way to super stardom, it is just a matter of time before the whole world knows Yogi, as of now he's just impatiently waiting for his opportunity to blow! Hopes are high, hustle is hard, fan base is supportive, Yogi is soon to blow, it's just a matter of time before he becomes the next hottest rap artist on the market.
