Oh, so many interests! It's a strange mix. My love, my passion is the mind, and how it works, how to unleash its power--specifically, how I can use hypnosis and NLP as tools for positive change. For myself, and for others. That's what I do now! That's the focus of my day to day life.
I'm also fascinated by the paranormal, the idea of the paranormal. I've been a "ghost photographer" of sorts for the past 8 years, seeking out haunted locales and experiences. I have many, many, many odd photographs. Second oddest experience (I don't want to talk about the first, it's too "out there") was smelling a ghost named "Rosie" at the Gold Hill Hotel in Virginia City, Nevada. She smelled like, you guessed it, ROSES.
Other interests: Keeping my honey-bunny Michael happy, friends, travel, fitness and strength training (I've lost 75 pounds!!), books, words, writing, reiki (I'm a Reiki Master/Teacher), meditation, manifestation (a new interest), graphology, sweepstaking, continuing education, movies!!, collecting movie memorabilia (Coolest item: I own some Colin Farrell shirts he wore in "The Recruit") food, fine art, the internet!! Music, secret shopping, computers, craps and baccarat, and so on and so on... I could be here all day if I try to list them all.
I'd like to meet:
Dreamers. Lovers. The joyful. The creative. Anyone and everyone with a positive outlook and positive energy--it's time for positivity in my life. People who understand that they create their own reality through choice.
Music:
Oldies, classic rock. Stuff I heard as a kid. I especially adore Smokey Robinson, who is the essence of timeless love.
Movies:
I'm a big, big movie fan. All my life! Too many favorites to mention. Favorite actors: Russell Crowe, Colin Farrell, Pierce Brosnan, Mel Gibson (in the early stages of his career), Nicholas Cage, Tom Cruise. Tom is good people, get off his back, everyone! I like just about every genre except horror. Psychological thrillers and drama are high up there!
Television:
American Idol (LOVE IT), 24, House (REALLY love it), CSI (the original series), Judge Judy (my idol, except she doesn't seem to understand the concept of eye accessing cues), Antiques Roadshow, Lost, any cooking shows.
Books:
Wayne Dyer is my current reading interest--Change Your Thoughts, Change Your Life. (I'm doing that!) I've also got stacks to the ceiling of fantastic hypnosis and NLP books, I'm working my way through them. Learning is a neverending process.
Heroes:
Travis Fox. Skip Carson, who is an incredible friend, font of wisdom and common sense. Keithcake, otherwise known as Keith Livingston. Skip O'Neil. My "Dad" Terry in Canada.
They're all my hypno-heroes, my teachers, and I love and am grateful to each one of them. If it takes a village to raise a child, I suppose it also takes a village to nurture a hypnotherapist, and I've had so much fabulous support.
