Heather Grey is a Hard Rock band from El Paso TX. All the current members met while attending Montwood High School in the mid-nineties. Since then, It has had a variety of musicians come in and out after spending time working with the original members and leaving their impression and influence all over their first album To Those Who See. Founding members include: Albert Galache (Guitars-Vox), Julian Lawler (Drums, but no longer in the band). It was around 1993 when Julian and another high school friend, Jason McNutt began to practice together and try out several guitarists and ended up with Albert as the only one with nothing better to do than to jam out with these dudes, as opposed to the others. From there the band went through several names which we care not to mention any longer. Together they wrote songs and tried to get more people into the band without sucess. After playing several shows around town, inter-member conflicts caused Jason to leave the band, and not to be seen heard of again, not even to curse us out. From there Albert and Julian decided not to let that stop them and quickly found another bass player (Michael Esparza) from a really good local band by the name of Cathy's Window. He was looking to put together a band to play his songs for a solo project. Soon after, Albert came up with a name after seing it as the name of a color or womens underwear in a Sears catalog. The band went by the name of Heather Grey from that point on. Michael played with the band for another 3 years as they played more shows including some at the High School where they were attending. One day the band began to experience tension from musical differences within the members and Michael decided to leave. Only this guy was around to hang out for some time untill he also dis appeared and appeared again on Myspace! Some time around 97, Albert and Julian stopped stopped playing and didn't see each other until some time in 2000. Albert went though some difficult times that made him loose everything that pertained to the band and so did Julian. Right away they got to work and obtained all the equipment to get the band on the run again. Since this process took several years, they decided to find new members to keep the band going. The whole time Albert was starting to hang out again with a pal Ryan Farmer (Guitars, Vocals) from High School who had always wanted to be in the band. Once they got the new set all worked out they had all the equipment to play shows and began playing without a bass. Since the bass is one of the main components that make up Heather Grey, they quickly set out to find a bass player. A friend by the name of Gino who would have been 10 times over qualified to play guitars as well, happened to be nice enough to help us with that instrument. Several months after, gino left the band to form his own. The band actually thought it was the best choice he could have made by doing so becase he was just too good to be playing bass just for HG. Eventually Jorge Andrade (bass) joined the band and stuck around as the best match we could have had. Some time around 2004 HG began to play live again and re-record their first album: To Those Who See which was soon followed by the second one by the name of Morbid Thoughts Dreams and Wishes. Some time After, they discovered MySpace and the band has maintained their only precence there. HG also has sites in other places such as Tagworld.com, Garageband.com, and groups.yahoo.com. You can run into us at various clubs around El Paso (at least Albert, since he likes to check out other peoples shows when ever he can). As of today Heather Grey is on hiatus. Several of the members are in school and/or working to make ends meet while in school, so the band is going to have to wait. We have a bunch of NEW MATERIAL that we keep messing with and redoing little by little when ever possible. Since we own our own studio it is not going to be impossible to bust out with new recordings so its only a matter of wether or not we have the time.
