Internet Sites
Some Nice Internet Bookmarks:
Easter Egg Archive
Hidden from the public eye in general, an "Easter Egg," in this context, generally refers to hidden code in programs. It then gets distributed and eventually the Easter Egg is discovered (if we're lucky). This site is dedicated to archiving and giving instructions on how to access these hidden eggs. They also cover easter eggs in movies/TV, books, and music. This can be a lot of fun. Easter eggs have even been discovered on computer microchips, as works of art so small, they can't be seen without a microsope.
somewhat limited, but you can also watch the Starz channel live. For frugal people like me, TVU + Vongo = satisfaction!"Vongo.com
A subscription service run by Starz network. For $10 a month (after a free 14 day trial), you get unlimited downloads of movies created with an excellent encoder/compressor. Movies are about 500MB in size (smaller than a Video CD), yet they are very high quality -- what you'd expect to see just watching cable TV (no artifacts!) You can even watch your selected movie as you download it (tho from my experience, the video gets a bit choppy). Selection is somewhat limited, but you can also watch the Starz channel live. For frugal people like me, TVU + Vongo = satisfaction!
ReplacementDocs
Did you lose that game manual? Don't you wish you could just find it online somewhere? Well, here they are! Don't be discouraged when that used game you bought arrives at your doorstep, only to realize that it's unplayble because you don't have the manual. This place has a ton of them, ready for download and completely free.
Last.FM
Much better than Pandora, Last.FM plugs into WinAmp and/or Windows Media Player and gives you suggestions based on your listening habits and the listening habits of people who have been listening to the same music that you've been listening to. Another perk is the box you see below.
TVU networks corporation
Watch several LIVE streaming TV channels for free (including Comedy Central, ESPN, Cartoon Network, and more). Be sure you download the player! Best of all, you won't get bumped by some subscriber or ever get a "Server too busy" error.
Spheric Lounge
Spheric Lounge is an Electronic Ambient project based on jam sessions. This stuff is recorded LIVE by various unsigned artists (They allow almost anyone to jam with them). Then they take the best parts of each session and smack them right on this website for MP3 download. This stuff is really impressive! (half of their site is in a language other than english; but it's not hard to figure out what is where).
StumbleUpon
Added 08-02-06
Internet getting boring? Find something interesting and/or fun. Initially, you choose from a large variety of the types of sites you'd like to explore. Install the non-spyware toolbar in Firefox or Internet Explorer. You can then press the StumbleUpon button and you'll be wisked away to high (user) ranking sites. Then, if you want to, you can rank the site and it takes on a TiVo style "you might like" based on your thumbs up or down. It's great!
Pandora Internet Radio

Enter in one of your favorite bands, then listen to similar songs by various artists - Find New Music! Pandora is a scientific project on the catagorization of music artists and individual songs. For example, I learned that I generally like songs that are played with Minor keys.
Synchronicity Arkive
Added 07-26-06
A large archive of Audio/Video syncs and how to set them up for your enjoyment. For those of you who don't know what a sync is (in this context), it's a lot like a music video -- where people have discovered that a music album fits almost perfectly with a movie. The most popular sync is "Dark Side of Oz" (or variant title) which is The Wizard of Oz to the tune of Pink Floyd's "Dark Side of the Moon"

A collection of videos from various sources. Anyone can post. From funny to just plain pathetic, this place can have you busy for hours. Check out Mr. Cook!

Yeah... um favorite stuff... where is that again? here ?
OK ok ok... I don't have this on that one "here" site, so... this is pretty simple. I like The Simpsons, South Park , Aqua Teens Hunger Force!, Outer Limits, Tales from the Crypt, The Twilight Zone (especially the older b&w ones)... Hmm... I still enjoy a bit of Beavis and Butthead every once in a while... ummm, other than that, I like documentories (wait, are those considered movies??) on science, theory, politics, and anything strange. I think I like Farscape, but I never do watch it. umm, Star Trek fan (of which there is NO series right now!? WTF? I think they should make a Star Trek series based on one of the other Star Trek non-human races)... and... hmm.. Oh! I really enjoy stand up comedy... um and Sliders was pretty neat too...
but lets get real here... All I really ever watch is The Simpsons and South Park, if that.
Mostly Dean Koontz if I want to read a novel... I like a lot of poets, but couldn't quote you any poems - lol. I read a lot of referrence as well - mostly computer stuff :-)
What do you want me to say... Smurfette?
damn slut! LOL! J/K,
I don't call people sluts...
wait a minute... smurfette
isn't a person...
damn slut!
Was Smurfette a slut?
This Frog:
It takes a lot of guts to wipe your @$$ on TV! (Not to mention how happy he seems to be doing it...)
Really though, everyone is a hero in their right.
Everyone has struggles in life, and yet; we, as humans, endure and persist. We take risks and go against the odds and learn from it. I'd say that's pretty damn heroic.
Remember: YOU are someone's hero today, and I send a smile your way.
