Dasein
Concept:
Dasein is a concept forged by Martin Heidegger in his magnum opus Being and Time. It is derived from da-sein, which literally means being-there.
In German, Dasein is synonymous with existence, as in I am pleased with my existence (ich bin mit meinem Dasein zufrieden).
Dasein, as a being that is constituted by its temporality, illuminates and interprets the meaning of being in time.
Music project:
Dasein is the project of mexican electronic musician Luis Blanco.
He started DJing in 1999 and has been active as music producer since 2005.
The concept Dasein is applied to the ambience of his music to exemplify the variety & existence of diverse sound atmospheres that in turn, create different musical genres. Like colors for a painter, his mixture of styles and his combination of rhythms can be unlimited.
He has participated in a few national music festivals in Mexico:

His live performances are slightly different from his recordings, allowing improvisation and guest musicians to incorporate some acoustic instruments to his electronic set up.
Most recently, he has been working with local cinematographers making soundtracks. In the area of audio editing for media, he works with a production house, based in Tijuana, known as YONKEart.
