So Tom's back from O.S, we should practice again

About Me

One year is not a long time in the grand scheme of things, but it is a enough time to learn that Tom is the best at packing the tour wagon, the Wodonga hospital may require a staff evaluation, Adam is not to be left in charge of the bands room key, there are many great games you can make up to entertain yourself on long trips and that these games may get on the nerves of fellow band members to the point that they dont speak to anyone for 12 hours.

Magentaline are a 4 piece rock-outfit out of Melbourne playing honest, passionate, catchy music in the grey area of rock/power pop. Their melodies and music are influenced by a variety of artists that fuse together through the four individual members to create a sound that's pretty hard to place.
The start of 2006 started out strong with the release of the bands debut EP The Regime which received a rating of 89/100 from Pee Zine and gained airplay across Melbournes leading local radio stations as well as Interstate. Channel 10 even used tracks off the EP on their extreme sports program Cactus Garden.
With 2 successful trips to Sydney (including Newcastle) and Adelaide, a few regional shows and plenty of local shows, the hard work paid off when the band secured the local support slot for Motion City Soundtracks May tour.
The bands ability to cross over to different audiences has been evident in having the privilege of playing with some great local, national and international talent including; Motion City Soundtrack (USA), Emery (USA), Bodyjar, Away From Now, Trial Kennedy, and In Name & Blood as well as interstate acts, Change of Face (WA), Lungs(NSW), Line of Departure (SA) and The Reason (NSW).
Magentaline's plans as 2006 ends and 2007 gets nearer are to demo some new material for a possible follow-up release to the band's debut EP 'The Regime' in mid 2007. More shows are on the cards with the band looking to travel out to Victoria's regional areas and underage scene. More interstate shows to Sydney and Adelaide are in the works also so keep an ear out for Magentaline!
