i PLAY BY HEART

About Me

i'm just a girl who was going on about her chaotic ways until one day...wham! Music made its surprising, forceful entrance into my life and derailed all of the rigid tunnel visioned plans i had made for myself. Over the last seven years, i've come to see music as a powerful intervention that has been healing my soul. The funny thing is, i'm finding it heals those around me as well. i guess i don't make music; music makes me...or something profound like that.

i have big little dreams for music; really i just love to sing. Sure, maybe i aspire to tour the college curcuit someday, but in case that never comes to fruition, i ask,"can't a girl just sing for the heck of it?"

i have an aversion to mean people and to meaningless busy work. my favorite food groups include: Coffee, chocolate, and vegetables, especially roasted veggies. As far as music is concerned, i appreciate good lyrics and a soulful voice.
being an eternal graduate student with negative dollars and a dizzy full schedule, i play out when it is feasible, though i could be convinced to play more...Oh and if anyone wants to give me some money with NO strings attached, i will happily accept.

SERViCE PROJECT ALERT!!!

Support the "Look Good, Feel Better" program at the local oncology center in Boone by contacting Cami Maher to get your one one of a kind braclet. Braclets are made by recycling bras and turning them into jewelry. Don't be left behind on this fashion trend. Instead of being limited by your own thoughts, be ready to move beyond your history and do something brilliant with the only day you can really have to work with.
