Influenced by the ROLLING STONES - Movie ROCKS OFF, Klaus started playing the guitar in 1982. After years of intensiv practising, he formed his first Hardrock- / Top- 40 Bands like GET READY (with Attila Schuster on Vocals) and taught guitarists like Andy Brings / TRACEELORDS, Franco Messina / BLACKWELL, Jörg Müller / OUTBACK and Martin Hausmann / JO HARTMANN.
In the late 80ies / early 90ies he joined some other Rock-/ Top 40- / Cover- Bands like CLOCKWORK, FAB FOUR (with Special guests Aino Laos and Kim Merz / WALLENSTEIN) on vocals on their 1996 "Live at the Star Club" - Record) and the German rockband HARTMANN(with Haan Hartmann / TRACEELORDS). With this group he had his first national success in the 90s with its massive CD-/ Sampler-/ Single-/ Video- releases( like the BMG Ariola HH / RCA Record -Release "STRASSENJUNGS" from 1994 , recorded at Wisseloord - Studios / Hilversum ) and their TV-shows and live- / support -shows with others bands like NEW MODEL ARMY, RIGHT SAID FRED, WOLF MAAHN, INA DETER, FARFARELLO, JEREMY DAYS, STEPPENWOLF, SOULSISTERS, SAGA, RIGHT SAID FRED and the germal leg of STATUS QUO`s "Thirsty Work"- Tour in 1994 (incl.Essen-Grugahalle).
After co-organizing the "Pre-CASTLE ROCK-Festival / Mülheim" in 1993 called ROCK ON AIR - Festival he founded the German cover / comedy - band FKK (with Kim Merz / WALLENSTEIN). During the following 6 years, FKK touring intensive germany (and NL) with a lot of Live / TV - shows together with bands / acts like PUR, STATUS QUO, JÜRGEN VON DER LIPPE (WDR TV-Show "Wat is?"), WOLF MAAHN, ANNE HAIGIS, TILL + OBEL (30 Dates NRW-Tour), GEORG DANZER, HERMAN HERMITS, CHRIS ANDREWS, RALPH MCTELL, IBO, MICHELLE, ANDREAS MARTIN, JÜRGEN DREWS, WEATHER GIRLS, GIPSY KINGS, MICHELLE, SASHA, GIANNA NANINI, PRINZEN, BRINGS, LOU BEGA, THE TEMPTATIONS and DJ OETZI
Its popularity grew, when the band was invited to a lot of events / partys / talk-Shows to meet people like JAN HOFER, KARL DALL, EWALD LIENEN, BLACK FÖÖS, JÜRGEN TRIEBEL, HERBERT KNEBEL, ULLA KOCK AM BRINK, GÜNNI, GOTTHILF FISCHER, THOMAS ANDERS, LESLIE MANDOKI, JENNY JÜRGENS, THOMAS M.STEIN, RALF MÖLLER, TANA SCHANZARA, FRIEDENSREICH HUNDERTWASSER, and DOLLY BUSTER. After having left HARTMANN early in 1998, Klaus founded the band TUSKEN RAIDER (supporting U.D.O./ACCEPT in 1998), worked as a session-and studioguitar-player and played the first TRACEELORDS Live-show (with ANDY BRINGS / Ex-SODOM in 1998.
After his separation from HARTMANN 1998 and FKK in 1999, Klaus founded the group JO HARTMANN (with Andre Bargmann on Drums) in 2000 with which he had a couple of CD-releases and live- / support-shows like SUPERFLY 69, DIE HAPPY, EXTRABREIT and the actor WILLI TOMCZYK ("Die Camper" by RTL,"Was nicht passt, wird passend gemacht", movie) and he was doing a lot vocal-/git.- studio - sessions (TOM ANGELRIPPER-CD "Ein Strauß bunter Melodien", POWERGOD-CD "Bleed it for the Gods" with DORO, Sabina Classen / HOLY MOSES, Peter Szigeti + Niko Arvanitis / WARLOCK, Manni Schmidt / GRAVE DIGGER, Rob Rock / M.A.R.S. and MAMBO KURT).
In 2001 Klaus was engaged by his mate MICHAEL GRIMM(ex-EXTRABREIT) to play with his band HALBER LITER (the German Top 40 Band with professional musicians like his mate TIM HUSUNG on Drums) in which he`s still involved. They played a lot of Live- / TV -shows in Germany, Austria and Spain like the german national TV-Show WETTEN, DASS...? in front of 60.000 people, with ERIC BURDON, JEFF SCOTT SOTO (JOURNEY / Ex-YNGWIE MALMSTEEN). Until now the band has worked together with some brilliant musicans like Tony Liotta (STING, EARTH,WIND and FIRE, CHAKA KHAN), Bernie Blanks (Musical STARLIGHT EXPRESS), ex-HARLEM GOSPEL SINGER David A.Tobin (MINISTRY OF SONG) and the ex-drummer of the German legend DIE TOTEN HOSEN, "Wölli"
In 2003 Klaus founded the charity - project ROCKCLASSICS ALLSTARS for animals in Bochum / NRW, where he worked live together with the following musicians and singers: AXEL RUDI PELL, MARTIN KESICI, Peter Szigeti + Niko Arvanitis / WARLOCK, Bernd Aufermann / RUNNING WILD, Manni Schmidt / GRAVE DIGGER, Michael Grimm / EXTRABREIT, Kai Hoffmann / SECRET DISCOVERY, Jeff Brown / SWEET, Alan Silson / SMOKIE and David A.Tobin / HARLEM GOSPEL SINGERS.
In 2004 Klaus was engaged to play the DORO EUROPEAN METAL CLASSIC NIGHT TOUR (with special guest: BLAZE BAYLEY / Ex-IRON MAIDEN) and the WACKEN OPEN AIR 2004 headliner performance in front of over 62.000 fans. After this Tour he got the offers, to record the guitars (and to write some songs/to do the backing vocals) for the following DORO CD / DVD - Releases: "WE`RE LIKE THUNDER" (duet with Regina Halmich), "IN LIEBE UND FREUNDSCHAFT", "ABBAMANIA - Sampler"(duet with Dirk Bach), "WARRIOR SOUL", "MONSTERS OF METAL Vol.5", "FÃœR IMMER" (Special-Edition with WOLF SIMON on Drums) "20 YEARS A WARRIOR SOUL" and the latest MINISTRY OF SONG - Record "HOT, LIVE and MORE" (with DAVID A.TOBIN / Ex-Harlem Gospel Singers). Until now the big IRON MAIDEN - Fan Klaus played over 1300 Live- and TV- Shows and has taken part in over 54 CD- / DVD- and VIDEO- releases (more details below).
In late 2005 Klaus starts working as a Producer again ("SACRIFIGHT" - Punk / Metal) and he founded the live jam-Rockproject COVER JAM, that gathers different professional musicians, who play a fine 2 1/2 Hour - set of Rock-/Hard+Heavy Classics. For the 3rd show / COVER JAM - ROCKFESTIVAL on 21th October, 2006 in his home town Mülheim - Ruhr (RWE Rhein-Ruhr Sporthalle) Blaze Bayley / Ex-IRON MAIDEN has been confirmed among others. Klaus is now involved in some new musical - projects (more details below).
