My interests tend to be either in nature and beauty... or pure adreneline junkie material.
I love the beach, deserts, and mountains... could not live without the sea nearby
and prefer to avoid large impersonal cities.
Paris and New York are nice.... but I would not want to live there (again!).
I fell in love with most everything about Australia, including one native
so without a doubt all things auzzie are of interest to me as well!!!!!!
If you want to add me as a friend... please be sure to do me the courtesy
of at least a basic note of intro prior to the impersonal generic *add*.
(if you fail to do so... don't be shocked if I yell at you.)
I'm all about roadtrips and adventures.
If you have something planned... drop me a note!!
If you like my work..
-drop me a note and we can shoot!
I believe in the real rather than the virtual....
so I only wish to know others that are real, down to earth and cool.
If you are a model, surfer, skier, actor (actress), celeb, dancer,
ballerina, stripper, doctor, or just a cool chick... welcome.
To be honest I have little use for guys I do not already know...
so for the most part, you need not write.
(but if you do be creative!)
If I don't already know you....
SEND a note before you send a generic invite....
I just find it rude to not do so.
No seriously, if you don't write me first I'll yell at you like you were a moron.
I had a really great childhood!!!
My taste in music is all over the place and varied... to say the least.
I can go from Moby or Black Eyed Peas.... to Earth Wind and Fire or Lynard Skynard!
Thanks to the illegal download gods at the old Napster... my music collection is a random play selection of any 3000+ songs!
I'd like to say that you would not find any techno or serious country in the list... but I'm sure I'd be wrong!
(... yeah I was wrong... I even have Abba and the BeeGee's!!!...
-don't tell!)
I really hate that I need to think this through all over again!!!
My movie faves are a bit eclectic..... but tend to edge towards foreign productions like
SEX Y LUCIA
AMALIE
PICNIC AT HANGING ROCK
LE GRAN BLEU (THE BIG BLUE)
RABBIT PROOF FENCE
GALLIPOLI
5TH ELEMENT
LOCK STOCK AND TWO LOADED BARRELS
and many many more......
Jeopardy!!!!!
Adrift
by Steven Callahan
Synopsis
When Steven Callahan's yacht sank six days into a transatlantic crossing,
he found himself alone and adrift in a five foot inflatable raft facing storms,
punishing heat, dehydration, hunger and sharks.
It was over two months and 1800 miles later before his ordeal was to come to an end.
Here, he presents a story of unimaginable horror
and heroism - of a man staring a tortured death square in the face and surviving to tell the tale.
Sarum : The Novel of England
by EDWARD RUTHERFURD (22,000 years of history in only 1330 pages!)
Synopsis
This extremely long novel is captivating and takes the reader
on a journey of adventure throughout time and serves as a
complete history lesson of the development of European society
through the tracing of two family lines from caneman to current England!
Really hard to put down once started..... highly recommend!!!
Captain Corelli's Mandolin
by Louis De Bernieres
Synopsis
This book is gorgeous.
Unlike the movie that was ruined by story changes and Nick Cage,
the book is a must read, the movie is a pass!A Salty Piece of Land
by Jimmy Buffett
Synopsis
Jimmy has me hooked... again!.
The salty piece of land in this Jimmy Buffett novel is the Bahamian island of Cayo Loco.
Ex-cowboy and minor fugitive Tully Mars lands on its beaches
after a series of fortunate and unfortunate events.
The story follows Tully from Wyoming,
to the Gulf of Mexico then onto the Yucatan peninsula,
sails the seas in search of a rare antique Fresnel lens for a lighthouse restoration.
A.S.P.L. is loosely centered on Tully Mars, but features many colorful characters as well.
Sea captains, aviators, wacky bounty hunters, and several island natives
add their own details to the novel.
The search for a Fresnel lens expands the tale’s setting to islands in
the south Pacific and beyond.
