OK. I haven't written anything here since I got this profile nearly a year ago. So I started thinking I should update it. I mean, I might not be the same person I was then!So here's a few things about me that you probably don't know.I grew up in a poor, redneck neighborhood, in a very small town. I used to be a little bit of a musician. (you can't say you're a musician unless you get paid for it. just like you shouldn't tell people you're an actor or artist when waiting tables pays the bills.) I do have a couple of degrees. I'm supposed to be smart. (The tests say so anyway) But I'm not sure I want to believe people are smart because they know how to guess correctly on a few multiple choice tests. Over the years, I've collected quite an interesting resume. I've worked for non-profits, outside sales, music business, ebusiness sales, and of course the restaurant/bar biz. During my life I think I've some how balanced out wearing a lot of hats. And I've some how never been the biggest dork or the coolest guy. I think if you know how to repair a DOS-based computer or were in the band (I didn't say A band... I said THE band) then you must be a dork. But I doubt I'd be really accused of being President of the dork-club (even though I spent hours earlier shooting other dorks .. with a headset attached to my XBOX controller.) So I guess I can understand people from all walks of life. except you hippies. really, I've tried, but I can't get it. I wish I could be so free.Oh, and one more thing. I have been through some pretty terrible things so far, so I'm hoping that I'm done dealing with bad karma. I did nearly die in a car wreck that claimed the life of one of my best friends when I was younger. And a few years ago, I lost my best friend and father to a brain tumor. So for everyone who has it tough right now, I can totally empathize. Keep your chin up kid!
