My Interests

*** A NOTE TO THOSE WISHING TO ADD ME***I am not on MySpace for any sort of popularity contest or to reach some quota of imaginary friends that will shower me with useless comments. I use it to keep in touch with my far-flung friends, meet new like-minded souls from around the world and to stay connected with my favourite music. That being said, I do not add everyone that requests me.

If you are a living, breathing person, we have similar mindsets or tastes and I do not suspect that you will fill my page with gift-card spam or sparkly nonsense, I will most likely add you. If you are in a band and wish to add me, please SEND A MSG FIRST! I get scores of requests from bands that make it obvious that they didn't even bother to check out what I actually listen to. And if you only wish to add me to fill my page with huge advertisments, please take it elsewhere.

Also, anyone interested in exchanging art, postcards, proper paper-envelope-stamp correspondence or rounds of Exquisite Corpse is doubly urged to contact me.

And Burning Man does NOT interest me, so please don't bring it up.

Good Luck and Godspeed!***

Television:

I enjoy British television and Yo! Gabba Gabba.

Books:

Among the Haida Indians of the Pacific Northwest, the verb for "making poetry" is the same as the verb "to breathe". I enjoy over-using the word "bourgeois." If Poe's perfect phrase was "Cellar Door," mine is "Moisture gleamed on the beak of the Raven." I like the words "sandwich," " leviathan," and "fisticuffs." I do not appreciate the commercialization of the word "revolution." It drives me mad when people misuse "your" and "you're."The word "party" is not a verb, while the word "cocktail" is. I enjoy the works of Neil Gaiman. I have a Hitchhikers Guide tattoo.

Heroes:

Houdini, Kinky Friedman, Dr Who, Eugene Hutz, Gilgamesh, John Uskglass, Aleister Crowley, Mata Hari, Brian Eno, Neal Cassady, Chico Marx, Rufus T. Firefly, Chomsky & Zinn, Emperor Norton, Simon Pegg, Tim Curry, Ed Chigliak, John Waters, Harold Lloyd & Buster Keaton, Jules Verne, Ian Svenonius, the German expressionist silent filmakers, Alan Lomax, Witkin, "the woman that destroyed Nick Cave", Michael Gira, Stuart Staples, Lemony Snicket, the Log Lady, abbie hoffman, Vincent Gallo Vincent Gallo & Vincent Gallo, Jim Jarmusch, Bonnie Parker and Mallory Knox, Subcomadante Marcos, Jeanette Rankin, Rosencrantz & Guildenstern, Lux Interior...

A Feeling of Vast Accomplishment.

Pueblo CO: I just successfully smuggled my cat into the hotel. I am celebrating by drinking wine from a plastic cup & watching the Colbert Report. If only there were a hot tub involved.
