Dury [NFC]

Dury, Duryn Duran, Durymon or any of these names that I'm known as. My real name is Matthias, but not everybody except close friends and family are aware of that. I'm 22 years old and am currently spending most of my time as a student in economics at university. I've been a bboy for more than six years now, reping my crew, "Newflow", together with my fellow bboys. It was bboying that introduced me to a whole new world and influenced, when not even changed my way of thinking. I try to live the lifestyle of a bboy, with all its aspects: music, body, soul and attitude. Thanks to dancing I met good friends which otherwise I would have never met.
My latest project is a piece called "Music and Dance" - a cooperation of seven hiphop/jazz-dancers, one bboy, one bass and a female beatboxer - which is performed under the name of "Slick Minority" ( myspace.com/slickminority ), an artist network, founded in 2005 by Noelle and Baba Altenburger.
By now I have arrived that point, where I'm about to enter the world of dancing more seriously. Besides breaking, I know focus also on acrobatics, tap, locking, house and try to incorporate them into my dancing to emphasise on my style, flow and flavour. I'm a mood guided dancer, and freestyling is my life. "Dancing is like a poem, it's not the single word but the ensemble which defines beauty." (2005)
