About Me
I'm a woman in my thirties living in Berne, Switzerland. I work as a socio-cultural Animator (is a kind of social work) and dance teacher. 2 things i like: Music and Dance. I started dancing a long time ago (African/Caribbean Dances, Jazzdance, Hip Hop/Streetdance, House, Salsa, Ballett...I love all these styles and like to 'reshuffle' them. Get down to a groovy sound with some hard hip hop moves putting a little jazzy hip combined with a nice salsa and african step, yeah I love it!!!). I was founder and member of several dance groups. For the moment I'm no more in a company as I prefered not to be in bound and be free to do different projects with different people. Therefore I founded an artist network called 'slick minority' with my sister. The idea is that artists (dancers, musicians, performers...) come together and create a piece/performance/project.
I listen to Old and Nu Soul, Jazz, Latin Sounds (like Brazilian and organic Cuban stuff), Hip Hop, Broken Beats and other music you can't find a name for but that makes you scream. Once in a while I have to leave Switzerland to traval and get inspiration and vibes from cool places all over the world. I've been in Brazil, Venezuela, Costa Rica, Mexico, Cuba, Guadeloupe, USA, Thailand, Morroco, France, Italy, Spain, England, Germany, Holland...I enjoy meeting all kind of people and I'm very interested in cultural, political and social circumstances of the world. Even though I'm concerned about the injustice in our world I'm trying to live a positive life. I like to laugh, going to concerts and dance workshops, clubbing, having a good time, eating good things and hang around with friends. Since 16 may 2008 my partner and I are proud parents of Moana Viola. It's a daily adventure, we love her too much!:-)
