L'Esscro , El-Pecado , L'Explication ( keep it up boys )........................................................... ..........Born in !981 the eldest of two sons of an italian immigrant (father) and irish canadian (mother)A young Rico always knew music was his first love at age 6 his attention was directed to a culture on the rise by the name of HipHop, inspired by the sounds of the streets and fueld by a love for music instilled in him since birth, it was very clear to this little boy that he would grow up to rock the mic.......at the age of 10 after losing his father in a plane crash Rico wrote his first rhymes under the alias "strategy" practice and determination allowed him to express his point of view, growin up in a multicultural environement he adapted to his surroundings but quickly learned bein a white mc wasnt gonna be as easy as he thought. at the time white mc's like the beastie boys, everlast from house of pain, and vanilla ice were the only white mc's out there and tho their music was good (with the exception of vanilla ice) the music was more rock and roll, metal influenced.at age 12 Rico began to sell weed in his neighbourhood feelin like that would be the only way he could ever get enough money to support himself and his family, the promise of drug money was alluring so alluring in fact that he felt thats what he needed to do as the man of the house. raised by a single mom who worked hard to keep her kids in good clothes and eating right ,reality started setting in that this was not the life he should be living but his new addiction to the drugs he was selling lead him down a path of self destruction lucky for him music was his savior with the support of his mother and little brother he tried to quit the drug game to pursue his dreams of makin music.. at age 15 ,feelin like he was different from the other white rap artists Rico re-created his rap persona "Rico Blox" was more than a name it was his mission A R.eal I.ndividual C.rushing O.pposition B.lowin L.ights O.ut X.plicitely this acronym became his motivation , and with a new thirst for success he set out to hit the stage and show off the lyrical skillz he worked so hard to perfect but realistically being an ok rapper wouldn't be enuff to gain the respect he needed so he took a break from performing to truly hone his craft after 2 more years of practice and over 25o written rhymes in his note book , this seventeen year old started battling and makin noise locally over the next couple of years he would ally himself with the best talent in his city to eventually form the rap group now known as "Renegades" now in 2007 at the age of 25 Blox is a L-town hiphop veteran having collaborated with the best laval has to offer . this mc who claims to be Number 1 till they prove him wrong, has put himself in the position to carry L-town on his backAs A solo artist and as 1 fifth of L-town supergroup Renegades , Rico Blox isthe definition of a true artist.
