About Me

Artist: Joker Title: The Vigilante Album: The Vigilante EPThe Joker (born Kenny Thomas) started his career as a member of the group T.R.U.S.T. back in 1999. The group who found their influence from legendary artists like The Wu-Tang Clan, Boot Camp Clik and Tupac to name a few was soon disbanded in the year 2000.Later on The Joker debuted his solo career as one of the headlining acts of Lyrics Productions. An up and coming production company who featured aspiring new artists. That's when he met The Independent, a young producer/rapper hailing from the borough of Lachine (Southwest Montreal). The meeting of the two artists will turn out to be very profitable in the long run. Known to be a stage animal, he's been featured on underground mixtapes circulating in the underground. In 2004, The Joker met a young producer named Skandalous Skale with whom he recorded and released his first mixtape entitled The Antihero in 2006. The mixtape, which is the first effort in a three part saga, will go on to receive acclaim on Montreal's underground scene. Meeting up with a young beatmaker named Boots in 2007, The Joker went on to work on the follow up to The Antihero entitled The Vigilante EP, his first official release under The Independent's label, One Two 1-2 Records. The Vigilante EP is set to be released somewhere in the spring of 2008.The Joker is currently working on the third and final part entitled The Villain EP, scheduled to be released later in 2008.
