Born May 27th 1984 in Montreal, Marc Vincent AKA RUFFSOUND is exposed at an early age to various musical styles by his mother. Whether it was funk, rock or classical music, there was always a tune running in the background at the Vincent's. Rather attracted to sports at the time like mostboys of his age and being very ambitious, Marc excels in Karate, getting recognition for his talent on the international scene (several national championships, 2 times PanAm champion and silver medallist at the World Cup IASKA kickboxing Championship in 2000 to name a few).It is only in high school that Marc Vincent discovers his real passion, ""hip hop"" culture. In 2001, his first beats see the day. Using ""Fruity Loops demo"" as his main composing tool, Marc hands out instrumentals to his fellow classmates so they can express themselves through rap music. Having no musical background, Marc is called Ruffsound as his craft lays primarily on instincts. Since then, Ruffsound has worked with numerous local and international artists making him a renowned urban beatmaker on the underground scene.
Among his productions, his musical portfolio includes: Ya Boy's latest street banger ""I got the power"", remixes of ""Gangsta Party"" and ""Rolling Down"" on the album Platinum Remixes Édition Limitee (50,000 copies sold) highlighting the 10-year career of KMaro (more than 1,000,000 copies of thealbum La Good Life), as well as the first two singles of KMaro's next album ""Out in the streets"" and ""Take U away"" as well as ""On my grind"", wich is on the album too, ""Coeur de Montréal"" by Treizième Étage (Sans Pression having sold more than 50,000 albums during their career), which was on rotation throughout the summer of 2006 in the largest radio stations including 96.9 CKOI Montreal.
