I was born in Sunflower County Miss. and raised in Memphis. At 14 I joined my first band. Over the years, I've played with a hundred different bands featuring different styles of music from Rock to R&B to Soul to Country. The past 15 years or so I've played mainly in Blues Bands. I've been fortunate enough to have shared the spotlight with many great artists and bands such as Waylon Jennings, Poco, Wet Willie, Albert King, James Cotton, Johnny Taylor, Bobby "Blue" Bland and Kim Wilson of the Fabulous Thunderbirds, to name just a few. Six years ago, with the encouragement of an artist friend, I picked up a paint brush for the first time and I was hooked. Since then, I've been concentrating on art as much as music. I've sold a few pieces and people seem to like the stuff I do. It's been very fulfilling. I still get out and pick every once in awhile too ..
