K-Tano is Cerberus

Recently K-Tano has been dedicating more time to his musical production having released a couple of promos within his musical community. His last tune, which is about to be released in the Portuguese label “Muaka Records”, is entitled “Catnip Fever”.
Having had the residency of the club “Coconuts Cascais” in Portugal (www.nuts-club.com) for more than three years, alternating between the main floor and the second floor, K-Tano has had the opportunity to cultivate a distinctive musical background as well as an ever-rising DJing technique. His last residency in Portugal was in the unique underground club “Paradise Garage” in Lisbon, spending the following six months of the ’07 winter in various discos in the Navarra region of Spain.
In four years of career he had the pleasure of sharing booth and warming-up for world renown DJs like David Guetta, Luca Ricci, Stephan Bodzin, Silicon Soul, Dimitri from Paris, Bobby D’Ambrosio, Carlos Manaça, Luis Leite, Frank Maurel, Diego Miranda, Pete tha Zouk, Kourosh Tazmini, DJ Magillian and others. He has also been present in parties and events of groups like Da Providers, Antena 3 Dance Tour, House Foundation Portugal and Bacardi Bat Beats.
In the summer of 2005 K-Tano created “New Gen Prods.”, a DJ agency and events promoter that looks for new talent in the Portuguese “dance scene”. He is now involved in a new event of his creation that is about to explode in this summer (www.myspace.com/pdexperience).
In parallel to his residencies, K-Tano has also played in many other Portuguese discos, bars, warehouses, radio-stations and hotels, including BBC, Konvento, Kapital, Jezébel, Bauhaus, Angel’s Bar, Mao Oriental Lounge, B4, and Praxis Disco-Club. K-Tano has also travelled to London to DJ at a unique event (Electricocoon) involving many European DJs and Electronic bands. In Spain he passed through the booths of La Traca, Ensayo, The World and was resident DJ of the sensational event “Crazy Wednesdays”
His musical reference is essentially House in all its sub-genres, now giving a special attention to the heavier crowds of Electro, Techno and Minimal. His alter-ego “Cerberus” explores the darker regions of Progressive House and Trance. In addition to this K-Tano also has as an alternative project his Lounge / Chillout sets, which has him playing in ‘private parties’ all over the country (Electro-Karma Project).
