Check out this film if you get a chance!Powerful award-winning documentary to be shown during Pittsburgh’s Three Rivers Film Festival For immediate release Pitttsburgh, P.A.— The alleged murder of one family member by another, poverty and substance abuse are the central themes of a new documentary entitled Trailer Trash: a Film Journal to be shown at the monthly screening series FILM KITHCHEN during The Three Rivers Film Festival on Tuesday, November 13th 2007, doors open at 7 P.M. with the program beginning at 8 P.M after an artist reception. Film Kitchen takes place at Pittsburgh Filmmakers' Melwood Screening Room, in the in the North Oakland neighborhood of Pittsburgh, 5 minutes from the Downtown area. The Film Kitchen a independent film screening series is sponsored by Pittsburgh City Paper, Pittsburgh Filmmakers and WYEP 91.3 FM, the film series takes place on the second Tuesday of every month, this will be the 100 screening sponsored by this successful ongoing film series. Parking is free and available on Melwood Avenue or in the lot across the street from the Melwood Screening Room. Their film program surmised the film: “An extraordinary personal statement about poverty, prejudice and the harsh reality of drug addiction in rural America. Don Diego Ramirez’s film, part home movie, part hard-hitting documentary captures his family bravely facing a complicated mass of intersecting crises. Ramirez balances distance and intimacy in a disturbing but compelling document· Made with Super 8 Film, digital video, TV news footage and photos.
