I LOVE NEW YORK 2 (VOTE 4 ME)

About Me

DL Entertainment proud to presents an exceptional hip-hop artist name “LANCELOT” whose versatility expresses hip-hop with a twist of R&B. Lancelot goal is to bring back the originality of hip-hop with a meaningful swagger for today’s listeners. He shows talent and unjustifiable love for music in every song. Born and raised in New Jersey, his less fortunate surroundings inspired him to discover his talents to build on a successful future. In 1995, Lancelot became one of five members of "The Dark Knights." All the members in the group were between the ages of 15-17 years old. After earning street credibility, his name created a buzz in central New Jersey. In 1998 he started working with well-known artist/producer Romanthony. As the group slowly parted, Lancelot did various features, which brought attention to a well-known independent label “O-Sun Records.” In 2000 he became the main artist of “The Black Sopranos.” Lancelot embarked on a consistent path in pursuing his music career, aggressively ripping through the underground mixtape world creating more of a buzz. Working with mixtape DJs such as: DJ Kay Slay, DJ Big Mike, DJ Kurupt, DJ Cut Master C and many more, Lance and his group managed to record three albums: “To Be or Not To Be” (2000) “O-SUN 4 LIFE” (2001) and “THE OUTCOME” (2004). Doing album release parties at Club Abyss (2000) and doing a show held on a private yacht in Perth Amboy N.J. Lance also collaborated with other artists in 2001-2005 like, Camron’ from (Dipset Records), Shells (J Records), Chopper from Da Band (BadBoy Ent.), Fatal from the Outlaws (Rap-a-lot Records), and Bun B. (Rap-a-lot Records) and DJ Rom-Anthony from Virgin Records on Freelance mixed tapes volume 1 and Throwback Jersey volume 1 and 2. He was also featured in several issues of F.E.D.S. Magazine. Due to creative differences The Black Sopranos came to an end. After much needed soul searching he took this departure from the group as a turning point to thrive on his own solo projects. Building on his lyrical content everyday and striving to get into the industry, makes him the better MC he is today. With two solo albums “Music and Me” (2005) and “Expect the Unexpected” (2006) Lancelot has grown as an artist. He’s currently working on an album with artist Baby Sham from the FlipMode Squad. With Lancelot career in progress, you can tell he is ready for any obstacles that comes his way and shows true hip-hop talent in his work.
